And I just finished going over a million defenses in contract law. Definitely a fun night for me! Who else is making some progress this long weekend?

    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

I definitely wish I was one of those people who got all 4 exams done in 4 months, but unfortunately LIFE (being a newlywed, stress, adjusting to newlywed life and cpa exam study life, as well as starting a job with a Big4 which I am very happy about) got in the way, just happy that I am passing period!!

@kpb I basically didn't realize that REG was almost as much info as FAR, and is also my weak area. I think I just scheduled it thinking that I might as well take a shot at it. I've had like 4 days to review, and I'm going to get my ass handed to me tomorrow. Taking 4 days off didn't help either. Oh well, I can retake it in a month if this “hail mary” play doesn't work. Cheers!

thechapman, judging by your scores, i think you will do fine. Did you do any progress tests along the way while studying for it? that's what I plan to do for reg. I didn't do that for far and it killed me when i had to review 3-4 times because by the time i got to 10 i'd forgotten everything else i thought i learned. still awaiting scores :/

good luck tomorrow! lmk how it went

@kpb thanks, I'll be looking for a FAR pass from you on the 8th! Basically I got through everything as fast as I could and then had a few days to review. I didn't do any progress tests until this week. This has taught me that the absolute smallest window of time I'd recommend for REG is 5 weeks. Next time I'll give myself the extra 2 weeks/week and a half

Thanks Amay 🙂 I am pretty bummed to have failed AUD but at least the 2nd time around won't be as hard since i've already learned it once, or at least i hope so. :p thanks for the compliment… i feel like i took waaaay too long compared to some people who can get it all done in like 4-6 months tops

@kpb All that matters is how long it takes YOU to get it done. Don't worry about others. It takes some people way longer too, I mean just look at me! I originally started this journey in 2009! So trust me, YOU are awesome! 🙂

amay, :)) thanks for the inspiration :)) Congrats to you for taking this challenge on once again!!! I've thought about quitting many, many times, but keep telling myself that i'm already in it, I may as well get a reward for all of the sweat blood and tears i've put into this “accounting” career (college + cpa exams) that usually does it for me haha. In a way it was good i failed AUD right before FAR because i have a feeling i would've slacked off in FAR. But we'll see if i passed or not next week :p And you are so right, I have been trying to stop comparing myself to others, it isn't healthy at all! Thanks 😉
