    A recruiting service, Freud Pizenberg (https://freudpiz.com/) asked if I would post this on the forum:

    We are an executive search firm seeking to fill multiple US equity research associate positions with a top tier Global Investment Bank in New York City. The research associate is a full time position working for a team, or a senior individual research analyst producing investment research on publicly traded, US listed companies. The critical condition of the search is that the candidates be high scoring CPAs.

    The ideal candidate will be a CPA, smart, hardworking and exceptionally articulate. The salary range is $75,000-$100,000.

    Interested candidates please send your resume to jobs@freudpiz.com.

    Please enclose a cover letter describing your background, your enthusiasm and suitability for the investment process, and your CPA scores in detail.

    We expect to interview qualified candidates immediately.

    How cool would that be if recruiters started scooping folks from the forum. Good experiment Jeff. I'm sure someone will be happy you said yes.

    I believe that's what their client is looking for. I did my best to explain that a high scoring CPA was someone with 75s or better 🙂

    Shouldn't they seek CFA holders (at least those who have passed lvl 1 or/and 2)? 🙂

    well, I guess this is the start where “passing” is no longer what has to happen. 90+ average will be the new pass!

    just like how high school education used to be good.

    then you had to get an undergraduate.

    now you almost have to get a graduate.

    @Monkey Wrench:

    I hope that will never happen, or at least not in our professional lives. What would the “new” passing rate be if 90 becomes the passing score?
