    Hi all.

What was your technique for getting journal entries in your head?

I’m making a sheet (or a billion) while going through the Becker book and writing them all down… I also try to utilize them while doing MCQ.

There isn’t as many as I thought as a lot of it is intuitive but I’m still paranoid about things like pensions and consolidation which is very unique!

You're smart in knowing journal entries, because they were definitely important on my FAR exam. What I did was focus on the JE's when doing MCQ's. Even if it didn't ask for a JE, I would think about what the relevant JE would be for the question being asked. Apparently worked decently for me since I passed FAR!

    FAR- 88
    REG- 88

    I'm excited.

    I just found these…

I'll be writing these a “few” times until Friday! I haven't practiced any Sims and got the vibe if I have all the concepts in my mind and a fairly good idea on journal entries I shouldn't totally sink. I'm also excited to think that this is the last final time I have to deal with journal entries on such an extent, LOL

I wrote out JEs for nearly every question, even when a JE wasn't necessary to actually get to the answer. The more you write them, the more you become familiar with them and they stick in your head. The two sites posted above are really good. Practice, practice, practice!!!

For the first link, is the debt service fund JE a typo? It doesn't balance.

    Dr Cash 50,000

    Cr Other Financing Sources 50,000

    Cr Transfer In 50,000

Shouldn't borrowing be recorded as Other Financing Sources in the General Fund? It is listed as Notes Payable in the JEs in the first link.
