@CPAtheCPA I get the same thing all of the time where people are asking me when I am going to be done with school. Some people just don't get it no matter how many times you try to explain it to them.

On the BEC score release topic am wondering how all the remaining scores could be borderline when it looks like compared to the other sections only half of the scores were released. I am really hoping that I passed this one and will finally be done with these test. My whole journey started in 2009 when I passed BEC.

    BEC 75,72,75
    AUD 76
    REG 80
    FAR 77 (lost credit), 67

My coworker took hers the last day of testing and received her score last Friday. She said she failed badly.

I think its all random…..they grade half and release them….then they grade the 2nd half and release them. It's taking longer because of the “borderline” scores in the 2nd batch. I don't think it means we're all borderline.

Here is an idea for the AICPA….

when you have work to do that requires EXTRA REVIEW its called working late and on the weekend to get it done! Come onnnnnnnn, everyone waiting for their scores knows what it is like to work their tail off to finsih their work, is it unfair that the same be expected of the CPA's supposedly grading our exams?!?!

On second thought….I wonder what my boss would do if at 5pm I told her, oh sorry I guess you'll have to wait until Monday for this workpaper….HA maybe if I told her that I wouldn't need to pass BEC because I wouldnt need a CPA due to a lack of a job!

yeah but for FAR they released 17k scores…there can't be many more to release, which is why i assume they are mostly borderlines

@nowhammies – sorry for the delay. actually focused on work for a few minutes … but they didn't really give any indication of when. just said by the end of the month. i understand it isnt their fault but they really aren't helpful

I am so glad that its Friday. If we are not going to get scores today, atleast we know there is no hope until Monday (well in TX atleast). I can spend the weekend staying off of twitter, facebook….. Even though I wish the scores would come out, sitting here on the weekdays waiting for Twitter updates is draining.

I definitely cannot concentrate on FAR without my BEC score. 3 months is too long to wait on 1 exam. How are we supposed to plan out our 18 months when it takes so long to receive a pass/fail?

    REG (66) 80
    BEC (74) 75
    AUD 78
    FAR November 2011

Last quarter though, in the second wave there was only 2k scores released but 9k in the first. So makes me wonder….

    AUD 76
    REG 83
    BEC 77
    FAR Nov 11

@stevie I'm with you I think 50% is an overestimation of what hasn't been released. I looked on the TX board's website and there has been about 626 BEC scores released. Last quarter there were 800 or so candidates that sat…so that leads me to believe that there are only around 200 candidates in TX still waiting…plus or minus a few.

    REG-80, 77, 77
    BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
    AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So if we're in TX and we call the TSBPA, anyone think we can bribe them to give us our scores over the phone?

I doubt TX even has our scores yet. AICPA probably has not released them. I have asked a few times- with no response if anyone knows if AICPA releases to TXat the same time NASBA. The reason I ask is because with BEC and FAR, Texas has released 2 batches already so they either held some of the original batches or they have been getting additional score releases. My guess is that it was part of the original release since the remainder of the scores were released the next day.
