I) My Score in July/August 2011 Window:
FAR- 79
REG-75
I had passed BEC and AUD in earlier windows.
2) The study material that I used
I used a combination of theses materials:
1> Video lectures- Rogers, by far the best; he is a great guy and breaks down the subject and make it simple for you.
2> Flash Cards- By -NIJA
3> Test Practice- Gleim & Wiley.
3. Tips: There are no short cuts. I followed the spread sheet given by Jeff along with Ninja flash cards. As Jeff say’s read it as many times as you want understand and write it once. Give up on TV/Social events etc and productively use your time to study.
I am 50 years old. I had to get back to studies after a gap of 20 years, so it was no joke. With age our ability to learn and respond also decays; so if you are old be prepared to spend extra hours. Take Jeff’s time table and multiply that time by 1.50 to arrive at your time. Always read the question 2 times, eliminate the wrong answers and do your best to pick the nearest correct one. Do the MCQ’s as quickly as possible, the simulations are tough as compared to MCQ’s and you will need more time to get them done.
At my age for long exams like Auditing blood glucose level will go down and I did not budget to take a break. To keep me calm I used to take 200mg of L-Theanine (natural extract of chemical L-Theanine from green tea, available in most of the vitamin stores) every day and meditate 15-20 Minutes.
Have faith in the power above us and you will pass.
Good luck to all.
