Hi to all the talented people in Another 71

I am using Becker review 2014 edition and Wiley Test Bank to prepare for the FAR now, my exam date is on August 25. I just finish reading the book, but I realize I forget almost everything on those earlier chapters. Now i am thinking read the book again and try to memorize those key concepts, exceptions. In addition, I think I will purchase the ninja MCQ for additional practices. Do you guys think these are a good strategy? Also, How do you guys memorize all those accounting rules?

@armin0725 Welcome! What works for me is going through the videos, doing MCQs to apply what I've learned and write notes on the sections that the MCQs are testing. I'm not a big reader so I found that re-writing my notes is what helps a lot reinforce the material and doing a lot of MCQs. I'm an audio/visual learner so I'll watch/listen to videos multiple times as well as listen to NINJA audio a lot before the exam. With FAR try to learn the J/Es by doing them while you are working the MCQs…that's what helped me. Good luck!

@armin I would work MCQs in the test bank for a week or so before re-reading the book. For me, when I finish the book, I always feel like I remember nothing, but once I go through some MCQs, I start to remember more and it starts to “fit together” better. So, if you did a couple hundred MCQs and still felt like you didn't remember the 1st half of the book, then I'd go back and re-read it, but re-reading right now may be unneeded. Even if it's needed, with almost 2 months till your exam, I think a MCQ break before a re-read could be helpful.

@zumo76 yeah i think i need to practice J/E a little bit because I actually did couple hundreds of MCQs from Wiley test bank but I did not write down any J/Es, so I agree with you! I definitely need to practice J/E

@Lilla thank you for your advices. Today I tried becker flashcard and I realize those cards are very useful, so i probably keep using that till my exam day. For me I just realize i need to review the books from time to time to reinforce my memory.
