Graduated a few years ago.. around my mid 20s closer towards late 20s..

The company I’m at announced their annual compensation raise…. and guess what.. mines was about 1.5%… I mean, it wasn’t like I did extremely bad, but they said Company was not “doing as great…etc.. this and that..” and then I just thought.. darn, it will take at least another year for me to get a raise, or even move up, right?

Guess I must get on the same stepping stone everyone got on.. go through the tedious work of auditing at a big 4 firm. But how can I even get back in? They probably won’t hire unless I have a CPA? and done at least a few years of Audit at a smaller firm right? How should I approach this? What should I do ? Many auditors I know, tell me straight up, it’s not the job you want.. But I mean, I need it as a stepping stone right? Any tips on how I can try and get back in?

I’ve applied to 5 different positions, and got rejected. They wouldn’t even select me for an interview.
