offlineMemberI can't begin to imagine. I would have lost it by now... What are you studying with? I used Becker for FAR and 8 days before I sat, I freaked out because I was totally unprepared and I was bombing MCQ and practice exams. I called Yaeger CPA Review, on a Sunday expecting a customer service center, but spoke to Phil Yaeger directly. He sent me to Barnes and Noble to get the Wiley book and overnighted me a FAR CRAM CD. I went through it over the next week and the WIley homework questions and ended up making a 79. I am 100% sure that the Yaeger CRAM gave me the little edge I needed. You might consider it, if you don't already have it. I think it was amazing. Best of luck, I know you'll get through it, since you've hung in this far!

offlineMemberWow so sick of this, I mean I know from experience how bad it sucks to get a 74 on FAR (I got a 73 and then a 74) but is that any reason to be rude? I've heard from LOTS of people that Yaegar put them over that hump. I highly doubt they have hundreds of people on these forums making up fake stories.

offlineMemberSo sick, I also just received a brand spanking new 74. Not much to say about this except we're so dang close....I'll have to wait until April/May for the rematch since I already scheduled other exams. But make no mistake...we're taking this b*tch down!

I'm not exactly sure what it was.... there is one instructor (I believe her name is Cindy) who is simply amazing. She breaks things down to literally the most elementary level it seems like. She works through some homework questions and goes over why why answers are wrong, as well as why the right answers are right. All I know is that I was bombing practice exams and then took one the morning before my exam (after going through the CRAM) that I did OK on, then wound up passing the real test.For BEC, I failed with a 73, then got the CRAM for that one too and went back in and passed it. At the time I was watching the lectures, I thought the BEC CRAM was less effective than the FAR CRAM, but during the test, I remembered things specifically mentioned in the videos and things that I read in Wiley's homework question explanations, so I guess it was more effective than I thought.
I can't speak for the Homestudy, since I used Becker, or Becker's Final Review since I used Yaeger's CRAM, but I think the homework questions/explanations in Wiley's books are really good.
I just failed AUD (boo) and I am thinking of buying that Wiley Test Bank from this site... although I don't know anything about it, I figure if Jeff is promoting it, it would probably do me some good. I heard that Yaeger for AUD isn't that great, which is why I didn't get it the first time, but I have no idea and am now considering it so I can get AUD our of my life.
After getting my head ripped off, I'm almost scared to share my experience or what I think.

Sometimes I get carried away on this forum because I see someone struggling with something that gave me a fit before, and I like to share what worked for me. What worked for me may not work for someone else.
I used Becker for AUD. I haven't tried Yaeger so I can't speak for it for AUD. Yaeger was awesome for FAR and I'm going to use it for BEC.
Do you feel like you got the most out of AUD from Becker? Did you do all hw, supplemental and practice exams? With the changes in 2011, you are going to need new material so I'd either get the Becker upgrade or new Wiley material. You are so close.

offlineMemberCurse AUD - Thanks so much for replying. I purchased the FAR Yaeger CRAM yesterday (2010 version). I figured I can get the IFRS stuff from my Becker update. I haven't used the CRAM yet. I will probably wait until I get through the Becker material first. I'm glad there is a teacher on there that can break things down, because I really need that. I guess I'm a slow learner. Anyways, thanks so much for the information. And don't worry about what anyone says (getting your head ripped off). We are all striving to achieve the same goal, and some people just can't handle the pressure. You're doing a great job and you almost have this whipped. Stay strong.

offlineMember@ so sick of this - wow! I understand your frustration, but everybody on this forum is going through the same exact thing you are and we are all here to help. (you know, hence why Jeff created this website and the forums...)
Curse AUD was just trying to offer a solution and advice, which is what everybody else does on these forums. We not only share experiences, but what materials worked for us and what didn't.
Here is another "unsubtle advertisement"....I used Becker for BEC and failed it 3 times. I finally decided to switch to Yaeger. Why? Because I read such great reviews about it on THIS WEBSITE. I wouldn't have known that Yaeger even existed otherwise. I used Yaeger Homestudy and finally passed BEC on my 4th try. I liked it so much I ordered it for FAR. I didn't even finish my FAR exam and still ended up passing with a 75.
Definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Try switching up your study materials and take the stick outta your @$$. You might be more comfortable sitting down when you are trying to study :) Ah, yet another inappropriate comment.

offlineMemberHi. Maybe Jeff can answer this question for me. Last year, I passed FAR, REG, and BEC. I found out that I failed AUD with a 74 in December. Many of my co-workers are suggesting that I ask for a re-grade since I was only one point away, and I passed all of the other 3 on the first go. The main reason I want to ask for a re-grade is because I know AUD is totally changing for 2011. What do you think Jeff? My score report is:
Multiple Choice (70%)- weaker
Simulations (20%)- stronger
Written Communication (10%) - comparable
On the previous 3 exams, I have always scored stronger on the written comm. This is the first test that I didn't. Any advice would be great. Has anyone's score ever changed because of the process, even by one point?
