In the exact opposite of my previous FAR experience, I walked in to the exam today confident feeling well rounded to only walk out feeling like I had no chance of passing.

The first set of multiple choice was decent but then for the last two sets I feel like 80% of them were on a certain topic, which I thought was based more on random choices to be as nondescript as possible and less of the meat and potatoes of AUD.

I narrowed most of the questions down to two but throughout I was thinking of how I would get most of the multiple choice wrong when practicing either 1. This is correct, but too direct of an answer and not the best choice

or 2. This is correct, however too broad and X is a better answer

I didn’t get a single multiple choice question on one of the 8 topics covered in audio and with a couple of its own sections in Wiley.

The TBS’s felt more like an extension of FAR and managerial accounting than AUD. I did all of Wiley’s test questions/sections and didnt run into a single on that resembled the TBS’s in the test.

Maybe I’m alone here, really just venting. This test would have been great if I knew 20% of the multiple choice material would count for 80%(but I cant blame them for being Pareto efficient…aaahh hah…hah….hah)

I felt the same way when I took it on the 1st! Felt super confident before I went in and did not feel confident coming out… MCQs were fairly difficult – not sure if they got harder for subsequent testlets or not… Totally guessed my way through the Sims even though a lot of them could be found in the AL… but I still didn't feel sure of my answers. Hoping for good news May 5th…

    FAR - 73, 78! (1/5/15)
    AUD - 73, 83!!! (7/1/15)
    BEC - 85!! (5/19/15)
    REG - 65, 80!!!! (11/16/15)

I took my exam on 4/7/15. My first testlet was medium. In second testlet not all MCQ's were wordier, but some of them were. For third testlet again some of the MCQ's were wordier, and not all, but in my last 2 testlets I felt confused between 2 answer choices, and remaining 2 were eliminated right away. This is my 3rd attempt, and am still feeling it can go either way. Makes me nervous.

If all MCQ's get wordier in 2nd and 3rd testlets does it mean that those are harder testlets? And is it normal to see some wordier and not some in testlet 2 and 3 respectively?

I'm just curious….do you have any on the job audit experience? I'm just curious as to how auditors vs. non-auditors feel about the AUD exam.

    FAR- 88
    REG- 88
    AUD- 93
    BEC-86

I have no audit experience. I feel like actual auditors would know everything dealing with internal controls quite well.

    FAR - 74, 76!!!!(5/15/15)
    AUD - 68,71, 73, 92!!!!(1/11/16)

Took the exam today. I was so confident before going in as well. I did Beckers MCQs, Wiley and Ninja MCQs. I didn't notice my testlets becoming harder or easier. It started with hard testlet with so many questions that I could narrow down the answer to 2 choices and then would guess. Then the killer TBS came. OMG they were definitely something you would get in FAR. During the exam i almost felt like I wasnt taking the Audit exam. Some of it was from another world. I left 1 hour and 40 minutes for TBS and was running short of time. Research question was easier to find though. I feel so down. I dont think I passed 🙁 now the wait begins. One thing I noticed after using Ninja, Beckers and Wiley, none of them had TBS as compared to the ones you get in the actual ecam. I felt under prepared when it came to sims.

I agree with everyones post! I am an Auditor in public practice and I felt completely confident walking in. My SIMS were the worse. I do not think I stood a chance on them because I was not prepared for them. Most of the them were more FAR related. First time around though, now 3 -4 Weeks of waiting!

I felt the same way … Took Aud On 4/19 and I too felt as though they harped on one area in the MCQs not really what I was expecting them to focus on … TBS … well lets just say I felt better than the past 2 times but still not great … Same thing happened with REG on my 3rd try … Who knows maybe 3rd time IS the charm

I took my exam on 5/18 and felt semi confident with MCQs and I know for sure I missed all my 5 out of 7 SIMs. Can't wait till June 9th to find out the big F =(

Anyways I am gearing up for a retake. Any advise on how to attack the Retake of AUD? Also, I am considering purchasing Ninja MCQs for my final review. Was wondering to get their AUD book as well. Anyone have any recommendations on Ninja Aud book?
