Just finished AUD exam – I have no clue on how I did

I took AUD today, and I either did really good or really poorly. I studied for 5 weeks, using only Roger’s program. I finished the exam with an hour and 40 minutes remaining. I used 20 minutes to review SIM’s, then submitted my exam. I know most people on here say to use every minute you have, but I tend to 2nd guess myself out of right answers on exams of any kind. I also finished BEC and REG with over an hour to spare, and passed both on my first attempt.

As far as the exam itself, without saying any specifics, I thought the 1st testlet was easy. The 2nd testlet was difficult and the last one was medium. I only flagged one question out of all the MC’s. I try to read each question twice before answering it, no matter how easy or difficult it appears to be. For the SIM’s, I was surprised to receive 2 for research. I suspect one of them will be thrown out. I have no idea how I did on 2 of them, as they were worded very differently than the ones I had practiced. I think I nailed 3 of them (the AL really helped). Overall, I feel less confident on the SIM’s than the MC. I’m just puzzled because the first 2 exams, my feeling after taking it matched my result. I thought BEC was a cakewalk and made an 88 and I thought REG was challenging, but thought I had passed and made an 82. For AUD, I feel like my chances of making a 90 are equal to that of making a 60. I won’t know for sure of course until I get my score but I will probably have more anxiety about it than I’ve had about the other 2. Any thoughts?

    BEC - 88 8/29/15
    REG - 82 11/14/15
    AUD - 83 1/8/16
    FAR - 80 2/29/16

Hey man I really wish that I could answer your questions but it seems like you would be in the best position to answer my questions. I am also currently using Rogers CPA Review and am signed up for AUD (haven't taking any other sections yet).

My question is did Roger's MCQ's and SIM's faithfully represent the MCQ's and SIM's that you saw on the exam.

My other question is did you also use Roger's CPA Review for your preparation of REG and BEC, if so were the MCQ's and SIMS sufficient enough to help you pass?

Thanks and your response would be greatly appreciated

Im sure you will pass your audit section

I hope you passed. Good luck!

Since you noticed the testlets becoming more difficult, that's a good sign…

Motivated by JC. I do it to make God proud.

    FAR: 91 July 2015
    AUD: 83 October 2015
    REG: 81 January 2016

Thanks Tripin93! Yes, because my testlets increased in difficulty, I feel more confident on those than the SIM's. The SIM's will either make or break me.

JasonCPA, I don't want to get too specific but overall I believe Roger's program has prepared me well thus far. I've used his program exclusively for all of my exams. I think his explanations to MCQ's and SIMs are more valuable than the answers themselves, because they are very thorough. I will say for BEC and REG, I benefited greatly by extensive background knowledge and experience that was unrelated to my studying. I do alot of reading of economic topics on my own and I've worked for almost 10 years in corporate tax for large multinationals. For AUD, I don't think his SIM's did a good job of preparing me, but looking back, I probably should have studied over a longer period of time than 5 weeks, and should have been more consistent. I let myself get behind because of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Good luck on your exams.

    BEC - 88 8/29/15
    REG - 82 11/14/15
    AUD - 83 1/8/16
    FAR - 80 2/29/16
