    WOW.

    Ethics….weaker (NO WAY)

    Business law….weaker

    Fed tax process….comparable

    Property transactions…comparable

    Individuals……Stronger

    Entity taxation……comparable

    Weaker on MCQs

    and

    Weaker on SIMS.

Totally surprising either way. I’m not sure what to do with that.

It looks like you are close, regardless of your 66 score. I'm envious of your tax results, as mine was worse (one comparable and three weaker). However, I had two stronger results for the b-law and ethics. I was also weaker on the SIMs.

My score was a 71, but your results seem better. Not sure why your score is so low based on the MCQ results. I would think it should be equivalent to mine or slightly better. I took my REG test in early April.

I think we're on the same track. I'm re-taking REG in early July and FAR in late August. I also passed BEC and AUD with similar scores and timeframe as yours.

    BEC: 84
    AUD: 89
    REG: 71, 86
    FAR: 80

I just do not get it, I really don't.

I can't imagine what I missed on business law, I thought I nailed it. I don't even remember but maybe 2-3 ethics questions and I know I got that right.

I wonder if there wasn't something wrong with my computer or they graded the wrong test! 😀 This is mind boggling to me.

I knew the SIMS but thought I was rocking the MCQ's.

Just wondering what ethics are you guys talking about? I went over the final reviews of Beckers and looked at the sub topic in Wiley test bank but I couldnt find any ethics part. Where is it???? Please tell me or I'll start to freak out and lose lots of sleep :(.

    Thanks

    FAR 5/14 88 PASSED!
    REG 7/13 74 :((((((((....! I cant believe it!!!! I studied so hard...
    REG retake 11/29 -> 89!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    BEC 10/11/12 -> 84!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    AUD 10/25/12 -> 95!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm DONE! OMG 8 months of hard work.

I SHALL PASS. BECAUSE IT'S ME, SO EVERYTHING WILL BE OK!

Please keep in mind that the report is misleading, imo, pretty much useless I would say

I had a pretty good looking score report but came with a failing score, while I had a pretty bad looking score report with a passing score.

The report is not informative at all, but I found one common clue for getting a passing score, you need to have a ‘comparable' on simulations to ensure you pass that section. I care less how I did on each topic, when I see “comparable” on simulation, I passed!

The ethics are the C230 ethics and I am an EA and have to take that course each year. So I am sure I was 100% on those questions, and there were very few.

I know on test day that I was pretty much brain dead….maybe there were nuances that I didn't notice or something.

So forever4 don't worry, if you covered your review course MCQ's you hit them. Fees. Client information disclosure. Etc. Not a great big portion, not on mine anyhow. July 13th, who knows?

I'm just a bit surprised on the MCQ's…of course this is my first failing grade report so it could be that I was only comparable on my passing grades.

If there's anything that does make sense is that I was stronger on Individual taxation since that's what I do in my side business.

Still scratching head but oh well. I have to go study the REG again.

This is what the report means:

Start studying over from scratch. Your next exam WILL have different questions.

Do MCQ's until you puke. Then clean up the puke. Then do more MCQ's.

Ignore the score report! It'll be a diff exam next time so start studying from page 1. In my 7 exams for REG i have never seen the same exam twice. Not even close to similar

    REG-65,71,74,73,70,74,79
    BEC-60's,60's,69,71,76*,78
    FAR-67,66,65,79
    AUD-54,60's,65,83*,69,80
    *expired

    DONE

    Breaker breaker that's a big 10-4.

The only issue is that it creates paranoia because I was relying on Ethics and Business law as my anchor while I went back through all the tax notes.

Uggghhhh, I hate this exam. I wish I had never started it, but it's too late to stop now.

CPApending that sucks! And because of your comment I had to sign in and post – I seriously feel like I wish I never started this. But it's too late to give up. If I had to start all over and know what I already know what would have happened – I never would have started. Then again, I'm not a CPA yet. So maybe I'll think different when I am!

    REG - 80 (Becker only)
    BEC - 76 (Becker only)
    AUD - 71, 76 (Becker only)
FAR - 65, 74, 81! (Becker, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja notes & Audio)

    CPA Class of 2012 🙂

CPApending sorry about your score report. I just got my score report for FAR comparable in most secions and stronger in one. Weaker in simulations! I knew simulations was brutal and i must have messed bad to get the score that I got. I am not sure how much we should rely on this report probably not much! All i know Is somehow I have to get all journal entries down for FAR.

    BEC - 75
    AUD - 80
    REG - 80
    FAR - 67. 82 (Aug 2012)

Yeah, I have pretty much trashed it.

It gives me no information other than that I messed up somehow, I'm still leaning toward mental vapor lock.

Now on to trying to study through the stress and angst.

When I failed REG with a 73 the first time I had comparable in all areas except ethics. I used the Becker 2011 book the first time and only read ancillary once (mistake). Looks like you need to work the ethics and law MCs a bit more. SIMs for REG have so many possibilities so I didn't even bother studying them. I just focused on knowing the fundamentals of stuff like DNI, AMT, and other broad areas that will likely be SIMs + made sure I finished the MC in 1:30 to focus on the SIMs.

    R: pass F: B: A:

    CPA Pending…

This report is useless….completely rubbish..Use it as a toilet paper.

But one thing i would agree with this report is , till you dont get your self out of the weaker in simulations to atleast comparable, you will never ever pass, (it is 40% of your score) even if you score stronger in all other categories. It happened to me twice in regulation… till i got comparable in simulations and they gave me a 78.

Well the score report can't be completely useless. It's pretty clear that you need to improve on Ethics, Business law, and the Sims. But I agree that you need to restudy everything, but just make sure that you're improving in those weaker areas that's noted on the Score Report.

    Right guys thanks.

I had 1 1/2 hours for SIMS but became so overwhelmed when I looked at the SIMS, I just went brain dead. Like one of those fainting goats or something, at least mentally. I was physically exhausted having overstudied to the point of being brain dead.

I'm restudying REG now using CPAExcel and it is tremendously better. I understand a lot more and I think that I will do a lot better this next time.

    Thanks!
