And I have no idea how to feel.

I felt great about the MCQ’s. Then the SIMS happened. The first one I got was on the ONE topic I dreaded to see most and really didn’t understand 🙁 I wouldn’t be surprised if I got 100% of that wrong. Then I had one that was literally EXACTLY the same as a SIM from Becker. Word for word. Which I thought was odd, but was happy about, so as long as that one actually counts, I should get full credit there. Then I got 2 research questions, neither which I could find. So I’m hoping one of those are a pretest. Then one SIM I MAYBE got 1/2 right on. And the other I have no idea again. Ugh.

So frustrating. I definitely didn’t get lucky with the sims this time around. I was so lost. I got lucky with my weak areas not showing up in the MCQs, but then they came back to bite me in the SIMS.

I’m feeling a fail for this one 🙁

I took AUD today as well. My SIMs were also a complete nightmare. Interesting though, I also had one that was word-for-word Becker and 2 research SIMs. The other 3, god help me. I thought the MCQs were difficult but manageable. I definitely noticed my 2nd testlet was quite a bit harder than the 1st.

All I can say is on my 1st AUD attempt, I finished with an hour and a half left and thought I smoked the exam – got a 71. I thought today's test was extremely tougher than my 1st. But try to take the difficulty as a good sign, difficult questions are worth more points.

I just really hope that word for word Becker one counted and wasn't a pretest question…because I NEED those points! Thats literally my only hope

Did you all focus on journal entries in your studying? Were you able to use the AL in your SIMS?

CB,what were your weak areas going in? Did you use Ninja?

    Cheers Ninjas!

I felt great about the MCQs and then got hit by the SIM truck. The AI didn't seem to help much with any of them so I did a lot of guessing.

Last 3 AUD attempts I didn't do well in MCQ yet I was able to do well on the SIMS since I was lucky on what was asked and was also able to use the AI.

@thepozno no I didnt focus on journal entries, but I'm strong in that . The AL didnt help me. For one box on one sim I was able to find an answer, but otherwise, it was useless for what these questions were asking. Way more analytical vs. just having to recall some facts.

I used Becker and NINJA mcq

@cb_6185 – You and me both. Waiting until Feb 4 and trying to study for BEC until then is complete torture. This sucks.

I keep looking on here for more people to share their AUD experience this quarter lol. I've seen a number of posts and its pretty much all the same consensus – very difficult exam with some real “WTF” SIMS. I must say the only thing keeping me calm about this is that I haven't seen anyone say “That test was a piece of cake” or “The test was REASONABLE”…so far, I haven't even seen a post where someone thinks the test was even just okay. So it is somewhat reassuring to know we are all in the same boat.

    Hello, everyone. First time poster.

I took AUD on 1/9. Felt relatively confident walking in. Walked out in tears. Felt like I did fine on MCQs, but the sims absolutely crushed me. Had 2 AL questions and I'm not 100% sure I got those right. Almost all of them seemed out of left field and even the one that seemed closest to something I had studied was worded so ambiguously. I'm 100% confident I bombed.

To give more color, I am not a NINJA user. I'm using Fast Forward Academy for my prep (I have seen identical question to those posted in the study groups on this page, just FYI.) I used this same software for my EA prep, and I passed all 3 parts easily. I studied for AUD for 2 months, was getting 88% on practice exams, practiced sim after sim.

Currently waiting til the 4th like most here, with utter dread.

Studying REG, which as a tax manager, you'd think I'd do okay on. But I have zero confidence since AUD smacked me down. Honestly re-thinking the whole CPA exam.

    :/

Just came back and I don't like my chances tbh. I sware transaction cycles are going to give me a stroke…

This is my second attempt at Audit and the questions they ask are very strange.

The question is do I try to give Auditing a third time around or go for BEC and try to get a confidence boost(if I can even pass that…)

@CPABRUH I'd say maybe move on (even if you do fail) just for a little change. BEC is no joke either though. I had a lot more difficulty actually studying BEC than audit.

This wait is killing me as well. I posted my experience in the other thread but to summarize I didnt feel the MC testlets getting more difficult(similar to how I felt when I got a 74 on BEC) and the SIMs I got the research one correct and 2 others 100% correct, 1 had had no clue what they were asking(praying this is pretest), and the remaining I feel somewhat confident I got more than 50% of them correct. Overall, I am pretty sure I failed.

    BEC- 74, 86
    REG- 85
    AUD- 98
    FAR- 90
