Just how valuable is the A license?

    Hello all,

I’m a CPA candidate out if CA working at regional firm. I mostly do tax work, however I have done some audit. I’ve been here about a year and a half, and may have the opportunity now to work industry. I really want to make the jump, but my concern is I don’t have enough experience for the A license. I have enough for the regular CPA license (150 semester units, over a year exp), and 500 audit hours, just not enough in planning. My question is, at the end of the day, how valuable is the A license? Is a regular CPA without the A not as valuable?

My concern about not getting the attestation license is not being able to transfer my license to another state down the line. Other than that I don't see a private company caring or even consider asking about whether or not you have the attestation sign off ability.

I spoke to an ancient wise man who sent me on a mushroom induced journey through an ancient forest to find the key to passing the CPA exam. A talking spider monkey told me to throw the last of my drinking water in the dirt to find what I was looking for. So I followed his instructions and the following message appeared in the soil:

"Do 5000 multiple choice questions for each section"
