   my experience...

   First testlet - fine....
   Second teslet - harder
   Third - beast

   on the third testlet, from question 10 - 30.. had the hardest time.

   First sim - was ok but i messed it up i think. I had a hard time on the WC so i just looked it up on the research tab...
   Second sim - was a monster... but the wc was easy.

   I know this is a pretty crappy analysis of my test experience but i am so burnt...

   Are sims adaptive like the testlets?

   I will be happy if i get 10 points on it. I didnt even answer any of the second sim tabs because they were so voluminous.

   miniloc - good sign that your testlets got harder...it means you were doing well on them so that is a good start. So many people have written in this forum that they never completed a lot of the SIMS and still passed so as long as you think you did well the WC portion...sounds like you did fine. The SIMS are not adaptive.

   AUD - 84; REG - 90; BEC - 79; FAR - 75; ALL DONE!!

   nope sims are not adaptive - they just ment to intimidate
   i think they are put there to scare us and give us nightmares lol

   I've taken three CPA exams now and thus six simulations, and I can honestly say that I feel no amount of review would have prepared me for them.

   I also took the test today (FAR), and it was my first time as well.

   first testlet...okay
   second testlet...killed me :(
   third testlet...was okay again...

   I know that the MCQs are adaptive so once I was on the third testlet, I freaked out because it got easier. The sims were not good either. I completely left one tab in the first sim blank...i had no clue. I also left one of the research question blank.

   I was shocked at the level of detail required to answer some of the questions. There was one tab of the sim that required real detailed knowledge of something that was covered in 1.5-2 pages in the Wiley's FAR 2010 study book.

   I am convinced I failed. Did anyone experience the same situation as I did and got a score better than expected and pass?

   Research is worth very little. And some people leave most of a sim blank (but do the WC) and still pass. Don't assume you fail until you get your score.

   And people should really stop worrying about the adaptive testlets. Just take the test; don't let it influence you more.

   Thanks Potatogun,

   I understand...it's stupid to let the adaptive crap get in the way of your confidence especially DURING the exam! However, how can you not noticed the difference when one testlet has only up to 3 sentences per question and then the next one having like 5-6 sentences per questions almost all requiring calculations.Then all of a sudden, it gets back down to only a couple sentences per question and mostly concept questions w/o the calculations :(

   I'm trying real hard not to let this distract me from studying for AUD. I better not do bad on this one too!

   Congrats is in order for you however...Congrats on your high scores on both exam!!! Great Job! :-)
