Just took FAR

    I honestly don’t know if I will pass or fail. I took 3 months to prepare for FAR at my first attempt.

    First testlet was, of course, moderate which I flagged about 7-8 questions. Second testlet went difficult and I spent an hour on this one. Questions were long and tricky but nothing from the left field. I already felt terrible not even half way through the exam. Third testlet went back to moderate. There were some very easy questions that purely tested your memory and I screwed up because I did not remember and did not really study for it. I did not feel good about MCQ at all. This makes me worried I might not pass…

    I left 1 hr and 25 min for SIM which I managed the time to finished them all, but none of SIM questions I felt 100%. I could not really find the research problem. It was something I never heard of and ran out of time to dig deeper. The proportion of each topic was fair, nothing more or less than I expected except depreciation seemed a lot more than I expected.

    You sound exactly how I felt when I finished FAR. I'm sure you did great. I personally wouldn't focus on doing sims garbage from AICPA. Sims are a waste of time to practice for in my opinion. I hope you passed.

    FAR = 86 4/22/16
    BEC = 80 6/01/16
    REG = 07/26/16
    AUD = ?

    Thanks Mehow, I really hope to get 75!
    ezakipocky, AIPCA annouced that not everyone will get the new document review. It does not hurt to practice although you might not see it.

    Fwiw, I am of the opinion that the research question is worth a very minimal amount of points. I could only find it on one section, and that's only because I had enough time left over to go on a treasure hunt for it. My lowest score was 85 (FAR).

    AUD - 94
    BEC - 86
    FAR - 85
    REG - 90

    I also took FAR today and I don't feel too good about it. I only left 1 hr for the SIMS and run out ot time. I just filled on the blanks. The research question took so about 20 min and at the end I wasn't even sure if I answered correctly. I got one of the new SIM documents, wasnt too hard, but I did not have a lot of time left so I guessed a lot of the answers.

    But I am going to stay positive and hope for the best. I am moving on to my next section while I wait for the score. My goal is to knock out BEC in 6 weeks.

    What is your next plan OT?

    I hope we all passed! This exam is just so terrible and I need a break.
    cdelval, I will wait until my score comes out. If I passed, I'll do AUD the last. I don't feel good about FAR but I am not confident that I failed for sure. I feel like when I took REG and ended up passing. You can do BEC in 6 weeks, just don't under estimate this exam. For me, it was more difficult than REG.
