[Time2Study]

Just came from REG…i cant believe this happened. First time i took REG i got a 71 and i found the research question in less then 5 minutes.

This time multiple choice sections went great i felt confident going into SIMS. Had about 1.5 hrs to do the sims.

So i did first two SIMS in about 10-15 minutes felt ok with both but they were definitely hard. I click on 3rd question its a reserch question no big deal last time it took me less then 5 mins to find it…30 minutes later i am still trying to figure out what in the world is going on because i am not finding it no matter what word combo i try. SO i click on 4th question another research question. I try to find that one for 5 minutes once again i cant find it.

At this point i am thinking this is unreal i skip and do the last two SIMS which were extremely hard but i am sure i will get some credit for them.

I go back to try research question #3 with about 35 minutes left … i kept coming empty handed no matter what combination keywords i search for. I tried everything possible and i was getting the results but the results werent even close to what the question was looking for. So with 10 minutes to go i decide to enter something in and try to do the other question.

Once again nothing was working….. and with seconds ticking away i entered an answer in there that was related to what they were asking for but definitely not exact answer.

Anybody experience this before? I am so confused …

I took my REG exam today too and I believe I had the same two research questions you're referring to. It took me a while to find what I believed to be the correct IRC reference. I found it useful to initially use the general search feature and then subsequently use the “search within” feature to narrow down the results. I kept typing in different relevant keywords and eventually came up with something close to what was being asked. Hopefully I made the right choices.

I definitely had more tax and ethics questions than anything. I was quite surprised (and maybe even a little disappointed) that I didn't have as many business law questions as I expected there to be. I'm sure everyone's experience will be somewhat different though.

@funtik no sugar coating only few were BL questions. Expect plenty tax calculations. But i dont know if each one will have different sets of questions.

I had 2 research questions but I was able to find them. The multiple choice caught me off guard though because it felt like it went a lot more in depth on certain things Becker didn't focus on so I have no idea how I did

I had same experience that I couldn't find the answer for the one research sim for about 30 mins, and I ended up leaving one sim blank and scratched answer on 2 sims, failed the exam with 71. big mistake on wasting too much time on the sims that's impossible to find then

I had two research questions as well, but they were both easy to find. Both in under 5 minutes. The other sims were extremely difficult though.

LOL, I felt like I was reading my experience. I had 2, and 1 I swear wasn't in the IRC. I saved it for last and used my remaining 45 minutes on it and still couldn't find any words. >:( What is stupid is I still wanna know what the answer was. I was more scared of the multiple choice questions I focused on that the most and skimped on the sims. I must have done really poor on the sims to get a 71 after (4) strongers and (2) comparables. Now I am doing every sim I can to finish this test. Good luck, hopefully you don't get sims like that again.

Well from what was said per Roger (Roger review) that if you see 2 research questions chances are that one of them is pretested so it may not hurt you as terribly as you think. Then again who knows for certain but you should stay positive REG scores are always suprising IMO

Had to read your signature twice since I thought I read it wrong. Taking two exams in the same day!! – My hat's off to you. I am trying to study for the retake and feel so frustrated forgetting materials I was clear on the first time I took FAR.

Research questions are so pointless. What are they testing? Our ability to look stuff up? The only reason people don't complain about research questions are because are easy points if quickly found.
