I’m using Wiley on my own and there are so many information that I dont even think it would be in the exam, like really minor stuff. Should I really memorize everything?

I also have the summary note of Becker 2011. It certainly does have key points but seems insufficient to do the Wiley test bank. Should I just remember what in the summary note?

Well I dont wanna spend extra money on Ninja notes although everyone recommends it. I think I understand everything and have them in my notes. It's just something in Wiley book and testbank makes me feel like i'm overstudying.

I found Wiley focus notes very helpful for some of the exams.

Your best bet to make sure you're prepared is to do as many MCQs as possible before your exam.

I think that if I had to pick between the Ninja Notes and Wiley's tb, I would get the Ninja Notes. The Ninjas are so compact that it's really easy to “memorize them” and they have provided me w/ some quick pts on the exam.

Now, you're thinking that I'm an idiot since the review material covers like 40x as much as the Ninjas, but trrrrr-wrong.

I don't know what section you're taking, but I would only suggest Wiley's tb for BEC; otherwise it's an overkill to practice thousands of mcqs because you will get frustrated and could kill your confidence. My 2 cents.

i have done more than 2000 MCQ including in the book and testbank but some topic like Gov i still feel unsure :((…I'm redoing the MCQ in the testbank to make sure i feel ok.

And I dont wanna spend extra money on the focus note either :(!~

I felt the same way about my notes when I started this journey. I have always been good at taking notes. I passed AUD without Ninja Notes so I thought I would be fine. I got to BEC and the IT section was killing me. SO BORING!! I kept reading how everyone swears by the BEC Ninja Notes and Jeff was running a BOGO so I ordered BEC and FAR. It is because of the Ninja Notes that I passed BEC. No Doubt. In 2012 I bought the REG notes and they are my bible. Although I do have my personal notes, I found myself just adding little ‘Factoids' to the Ninja Notes for things I was having trouble remember or missed a MCQ on. I know how you feel about not wanting to spend more money but isn't spending $67 worth not having to spend another nearly $200 to retake and test and not counting the countless hours to restudy? Also, I think Jeff has a money back things so if you hate the notes he may refund them. I bet you will get hooked like me. Oh and they never expire. If it takes you 2 years to pass a section he will update your notes for you for free. Just think about it…

I'm taking FAR right now.

I think the summary note of Becker is actually pretty concise and good except when I do the WIley test bank, I feel like I need to add more stuff to it and i'm actually doing it right now.

I just think Wiley is overkilled! Is there anyone agree w/ me on this?

I haven't bought the textbook for the other 3 yet so i'll think abt getting Ninja Note if I really have to.

@terminator: I dont think you're stupid. Stuff that they explain in Wiley text is too much. They would take like a whole page to explain one dang thing. And they would include so many details that I dont think i even need to learn that.

I'll go with the summary note of BECKER for now.

I have heard that Wiley can get a little too detailed. I have run into that with the BLaw section for REG. When do you take FAR?

Usually the week of my exams I study really hard because of the pressure I start feeling. My boss is out of the office this week so I have been studying 5-7 hours every day. I have REG on Saturday.

FAR is a tough test but it is passable…or so I hear…I haven't passed it yet and because I kept pushing back REG, I am not going to be able to take it until July. That's ok though. Hopefully it will be my last section so I can party like crazy for my BDay!! Best of luck to you!

Wiley's questions are licensed from the AICPA. It's the “minor” stuff added up that makes a difference between a 73 and a 75.

I'm taking FAR and REG first so i will feel less pressure for AUD and BEC. It's gonna b my first one so I really dont know what to expect but I hope i'll be fine.

When you say you're studying hard!? What does hard mean? how hard do you think is hard?
