Not very good with hyperlinks so I don’t know if this link works. Anyone ever feel like the coach from Beavis and Butthead getting kicked in the Jimmy? Been at the office about 15 hours. It’s been snowing like crazy in Chicago and it’ll probably take me an hour and a half to get home where ill catch 4 hours of sleep if I’m lucky tonight. Maybe I should just sleep under my desk… CPA is kicking my rear end right now. Who is with me?

You got stuck in the snow as well, huh? That was some wicked stuff. My office is in the northern burbs- they closed down at 3:00 and let us go (for which I was unbelievably thankful). Sorry they didn't do the same for you- that's pretty rough.

It's a tough life for sure. But you're so close-best of luck getting ready for REG!

@ mdrobbin; Yes! Everyday is a kick in the Jimmy. Thanks for the clip for a trip down memory lane of my youth. Gotta love B&B. Any how I have REG coming up as well. I am using the Gleim Review System and it is so freaking comprehensive and lengthy. These Gleim Qs are so damn tough too. REG is the first section I have used the complete Gleim Review System for. It takes me more than the “estimated” 5-6 hours to complete a study unit….if I am booking it. Needless to say I am putting in 25 + hours a week. In a few weeks it will all be over. Do you take any days off? —-> I thought I would at least on Sundays however I have yet to get a day off. It seems like the last section is the hardest. Stop the insanity!

@Badger… what part of the burbs are you in? I work in the Northern burbs as well (Lake Bluff… 5/10 minutes from downtown Libertyville) but live downtown in Chicago which, yea, not the smartest thing as far as a commute goes. I did get let out early but I knew if I left around 3pm I'd be stuck in traffic with that weather for well over an hour so I stuck it out at the office. When I drove home at 11:30pm luckily the roads were empty and the drive was okay. Good luck to you on AUD, hopefully we will both be done with the exam come March of 2013!

@Gator… days off work or days off studying? Between now and the exam I am not planning to take any days off studying… typically I don't take any days off once I'm in the rhythm of studying even though most review courses suggest it. So far it has worked for me to just plug away 7 days a week. REG MCQ's are KILLING me so far so I'm going to need every last minute to hammer MCQ that I can possibly get. Good luck to you with REG!!!

I work in Deerfield, and I live about 20 minutes away or so. Since work was not far from my final destination I decided to bolt as soon as we were allowed and gain the extra study time. The roads were terrible but the drive was short enough- I'm glad they were cleared up for you by the time you left! And thanks for the well-wishes, and good luck to you on REG! I am definitely stoked to have this done with.

@ mdrobbin, Thanks and good luck to you all too. I normally don't take days off to study, however I am desperate this go around and I am preparing with the conviction that my credits are about to expire. Although I do have until November until FAR falls off, that is not an option. So yeah this is my first time taking a few days from work to get past the preliminary review. I am only doing this because Gleim Review System is taking me longer to get through. I never used the Gleim System in its entirety before. I use to use just a book and test prep software. There are lots of exercises. My focus is to give me a solid two weeks for a final review.

ps: You guys hunker down up there and be safe.

@Badger… small world, I have family that lives on Deerfield road just as you cross into Highland Park. I'm in Deerfield all the time and grew up maybe 10 minutes from Deerfield (lived in Lincolnshire/Buffalo Grove area). I currently work up in Lake Bluff about 5 minutes from downtown Libertyville.

Good luck on passing everyone… I personally just flat out can't wait to be done with this beast of an exam.
