Not sure if this is where I should post this, but my god, I can’t seem to stay fully motivated for the exam. I end up slacking off and failing and it is frustrating as hell. I hope that, by keeping a detailed thread, I can stay motivated so I don’t feel like I let anyone who may follow this thread down (that sounds lame but I gotta do what I gotta do lol).

I have taken FAR twice and failed both times, with a 59 and 68, respectively. Tomorrow I go at it for a 3rd time and don’t feel super confident because I slacked off again. I have already decided that after this test tomorrow, pass or fail, I am going onto BEC. I will outline my study schedule this weekend, once I can relax a little bit.

I am using CPAExcel to study from.

24.

Work at a small accounting firm and have 3 years experience.

Avid gamer and sports enthusiast.

Engaged to be married. No wedding date set.

So come along for the ride as I try to pass this series of exams from hell.

Take my advice, you play console: get rid of it for a while. If you play on the pc, uninstall steam/origin etc.

I can't wait to install steam again 😀

You're absolutely right though and I will try my hardest!

Not passing FAR twice (possibly 3 times) is really discouraging. I took BEC at the end of tax season this year and scored a 69, without studying at all. I have failed FAR multiple times and have put in 100+ hours of studying each time. I just need to get one under my belt to gain some damn confidence back.

Took FAR today.

Multiple Choice seemed to be about medium difficulty. No government stuff is done at my firm so I always have to refresh that topic. Think I did alright.

Got TWO research questions. Was super excited to see that. Now we play the waiting game.

@mtaylo24 Just brought a 12 pack of miller lite and madden 25 for the PS3. That'll be my night.

@peetree I'm in a madden league with 31 other guys (talk about being a geek). I gotta stay on top of my game!

Diable 3 comes out next week for the xbox. I'm pre-ordering it today to get the extras, but I won't play it until all of my exams are over and passed or possibly during my maternity leave in December. I already have limited study time and I know that I can spend hours on hours playing it.
