Please someone pump me up too! This is crazy….

I haven't found out that i pass AUD yet [hope to] and I am studying for a REG retake [3rd time] …and i am so gloomy and just out of it right now. Unlike most of you guys here on the blog..i have been trying this think forever…like 4 years…and It's like I don't have anymore strength to push!

FAR credit is expiring soon and I am so tired..just plain tired of all of this! I think my excitement for been a CPA is at its marginal utility ….lol…for real…someone HELP me too!

I want to be a CPA….I know I have to push but I need some emotional REDBULL….i meditate and pray! I even have dreams of the accomplishment, but no strength to keep pushing like i was for the other parts.

CPAbySeptember, I think I had the same thing happen to me. How innocent I was back when I was studying for my first exam (REG), doing all the MCQs and even all the simulations! I'm now on my final exam (FAR) and basically skipped half the MCQs and simulations and I'm just hoping for the best at this point :p It's so easy to get burned out. I wish I hadn't saved FAR for last……

    REG - 93 (7/30/13)
    BEC - 90 (8/19/13)
    AUD - 98 (8/31/13)
    FAR - 84 (10/19/13)

FAR in less than 2 weeks, and also dealing with interviews, etc. I've totally lost my impetus. Used to be able to do 4-5hrs a day, now I'm lucky to get in 2! Just finished Becker lectures and MCQ's yesterday, and I was all proud of myself for even making it that far. On previous exams, I managed all of Becker, plus the entire Wiley testbank and oodles of notes for each section!

I'm so over this thing, I'm praying I'll have done enough by the time exam day rolls around!

My studying for REG (which I am strongly hoping is my last exam) was definitely my worst studying of the whole thing. Burnt-out, hard to stay motivated, and too much going on in life. The day of my AUD test I had an interview – in the midst of REG studying, I was offered the job, left my old job (and it was realllllllllly rough departure – took more emotional energy than starting the new job), started the new job, and had some major family health programs…all in the 6 weeks or so that I was studying for this exam. So all of you guys talking about interviews etc, I understand completely!

But…it'd be an awfully rough way to start a job to have to say “Uhh I got the scores back from that exam, and I failed…”, so keep that in mind. 🙂 Also that if you can just pull through this last however many days or weeks, then you never have to do it again. That last one was my biggest motivator with REG – if I make myself study for another week(/2 weeks/month/day/whatever the situation was), I can probably never study again – if I don't study properly, then I have to start this test over from scratch in a couple months. And I am SO ready to be rid of my books and studying forever, so I tried to use that to motivate myself. I still didn't get as much done as I should have…but I'm crossing my fingers for the score release and trying to keep myself distracted with other things (like looking into buying a house – spending most evenings going to look at houses is a great way to distract one's self from exams!)

w_hamilton, i'm in the same boat. i'm on FAR and i only do about half of the MCQs. my plan though is to get through all 10 chapters with 3-4 weeks of intense review so that's really why i've been cutting the MCQs short. certainly is tough to stay motivated especially with so much material.

Last test is BEC for me and yes I am finding it hard to dedicate to the studying on any kind of level near what I used to do for the prior 3.

    FAR 11/2012: 80
    AUD 2/19/2013: 90
    REG 5/14/2013: 76
    BEC 11/2013: 85
    Ethics: 100

I'm sort of finding the opposite. I feel like quitting my job and just sitting home and studying all day just to make sure I pass. I want to be done so so bad. I can't take the endless studying anymore. I just want to be done.

Trying to crawl or drag my legs slowly (think zombie style) across the finish like with my last section BEC. Anyone feel the same?

One thing I can say is hats off to you people that saved FAR for last. It pains me to even think about trying to finish with that bad boy.

It was hard for me to stay motivated with my last exam. I failed it. Then I had to dig up even more motivation to pass it on a retake. It's rough, but keep pushing so you don't make the same mistake I did.

You are right about taking FAR last. I'm still regretting saving FAR and REG for my last two. You did this thing the right way!

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
    BEC (08/10/13) 80
    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
    FAR (04/12/14) 81
    REG (07/19/14) 69 (11/29/14) 87!!

Same! BEC is so random too. Plus at this point I'm more worried about getting a job.

I suffered from this as well with BEC as my last exam…I don't feel good about my chances because I didn't study as hard as I had for the other tests.

We'll see on Thursday but in the meantime, I'll be studying for my rematch with BEC!

    FAR - 81
    REG - 74, 87
    AUD - 88
    BEC - 88

    Finally.

@Aint & @Mama — I had this illusion that BEC was the “easiest” and it's far from it. I hate finance and economic concepts. AUD to me was the easiest.

@Bobcat–The “easiest” exam for anyone is going to be the one best aligned with their strengths/experience/education. I have a B.S. in business and an MBA. I purposely took BEC to build up my confidence for the other 3. I regret it and wish I had started with the bigger guys first. It felt like I climbed a big hill instead of sliding down one at the end.

CPA Exam - Finally DONE (November 2014)
    BEC (08/10/13) 80
    AUD (08/24/13) 65 (11/13/13) 85
