There is just so much information…getting really nervous for the test tomorrow. How am I supposed to remember all the tax credits and their phaseouts! And so many business law topics even though its roughly 20% of the exam. Any last minute advice, tips, support? haha

Here's the trick: you don't need to know the phase-outs and credits.

In regards to these two topics, know which credits are subject to phase-outs and which credits can result in a refund.

Hey my only advice is very basic: Get through the MC efficiently enough so that you have an hour or more for the SIMS – and MAKE SURE you use the AL for the Sims. I had extremely difficult SIMS for REG but gave myself enough time to use the AL for each and passed because of it. Good luck!

    A - 10/28/12 - Passed!!!
    B - 11/20/12 - Passed!!!
    F - 11/12/13 - Passed!!!
    R - 02/01/13 - Passed!!!

    Work Experience - Done!
    Ethics Exam - Boom! Done!

    RI Licensed CPA.

For the law portion, if you have Ninja audio, listen to it the morning of the exam, it covers the topics really well, and it'll be fresh in your head.

    FAR 75
    AUD 74, 82
    REG 58, 74, 83
    BEC 68, 75
    Licensed 7.1.14!!!

PS: Credit limits and phase outs are FAIR GAME ON SIMS. Also many things Becker never talked about are fair game just cuz thats how the AICPA rolez.

So use your AL. Don't panic when you see impossible SIMS. No one can memorize all the phaseouts or tax rules and the SIMS ruthlessly test you on things you cannot possibly know since you have a ghetto google.

I saved half the time for the SIMS and I'm very glad I did. I used almost every minute and if it were a 4 hour exam I probably would have used all of that last hour as well XD

mwilli, I felt the same way before my REG test. At this point my recommendation would be to get a good night's sleep tonight. For me I even relaxed and watched a fun show before bed. The morning of the exam I read over my 10 pages of important notes.

When you get to the exam, view each question as an opportunity to gather points. If you get a hard question, well take a stab and then try to get points on the next one. Honestly I thought I had a 50/50 chance at best to pass my REG exam and ended up with an 86. So just ease your mind tonight and go to the test tomorrow and grab as many points as you can. If you get an impossible simulation, it may be the throw away one, or even if its not, if you get 3 out of 10 blanks correct that is better than 0.

Lastly, whenever I try to think about a subject(such as REG) and try to think about everything I know off the top of my head, I will run out of things to say after about 10 seconds. That does not mean that the information is not in my head, I just need a little refresher and then all my knowledge rushes back in. Thankfully, the CPA exam provides you with detailed questions to help you gather your thoughts, and low and behold the CORRECT ANSWER even appears on the screen in front of you(albeit with 3 wrong ones). So let the exam questions guide your thinking and you will be surprised how much is in your head that you can't think of right now!

    Audit(11/5/13) - 89
    Reg(5/16/14) - 86
    FAR(7/18/14) - 82
    BEC(11/14) - 85
