I have less than a week to prepare. It seems like everytime I look at the Becker material, each chapter shows me something I didnt know before. That tells me I have too much info going on in my noggin. Meaning, too much distracting external situations that I need to eliminate.
What helped me pass FAR in November wa systematically going through a section, working all the MC, reading the flashcards, working the simulation, and reveiwing Becker Final Review. The Final Review saved my butt on the FAR exam.
I did pick up Wiley 2010 AUD text book, and it has actually better explained what substantive testing (tests of details, etc..) REALLY means. Becker kind of assumes you understand this, which is why their material is always more condensed. If you have an excellent memory, this is perfect. I don't.
All I can say is "mental endurance." Better have it. Also, I work the final exam at least 4-6 times before the actual test to gauge my mental endurance and general understanding of all material. This always tells me which areas are my absolute weakest.
With less than a week, I feel like I will NOT be prepared. But after nearly three months of preparing (along with brutal work hours), I certainly should be. If I do fail, its my own fault and I will not have to rethink my strategy, but simply spend more time with it and get better rest. Good luck, and may God be with you.
