So I did FAR on Saturday, I was doing great on MCQ, made it to the sims with 1 hour and 18 minutes left and still managed to walk out of there with 3 blank sims, I don’t where the time went. I did well on whatever I solved but I am anticipating a 68-70 due to the blank sims. Anyone have a similar experience before?

I think I remember Govtec that left some SIM's blank in Feb exam and he got 70. He result showed strong on MCQ's and weak on SIM's

But others say they left 2 blank and managed to pass. So who know. Lets hope one of the SIM's you left blank was a pretest 🙂

my cowoker finished only 2 SIMs on FAR and ended up with an 83! it's obviously not adviseable but it's not an automatic fail if you did well on the rest.

I left all mine blank because i ran out of time and I got a 57 so If you're saying you did 4 then there is hope it all depends on how well you did on the mcq's. Good Luck!

When in doubt, type in 0 for the sims that you don't get to. Chances are some of the answers depending on the sim are 0, which would give you credit!

Justkeeppassing – I heard that too from someone so I started doing that too… filling in zeros if there are any blanks I have left.

Thankfully I did all the SIM in FAR so fingers crossed I will be okay but who knows… I feel I can never know how I did… its like playing the lottery.

Yes! I didn't realize that I needed to budget time, i went back and reread each multiple choice question (dumbest thing i have ever done) and maybe i changed 1 or 2 of them. After i was done with the multiple choice, i was so happy because i knew i passed. But then came the SIMs and my happiness did a nose dive. I left about 50 min for the SIMs. I also didn't practice or use the excel or calculator which slowed me WAY down, anyway I finished the 2nd SIM with 20 minutes left on the clock, i was about 50% sure on my answers. After that I was in a panic. I didnt finish about half, I was so upset because i thought ALL of the multiple choice was so easy and i studied hard. So when i left the test i was so so so upset, I told my husband I failed. We both calculated about 70%. Happiest day when i passed with a 76%, not by much, but you have hope. Some hope…I wish you the best.

Yup, back in Feb I left 4 blank sims and partially filled 3 sims and got a 66. I heard others passed with just 2 sims complete. It really depends on how strong you scored on MCQ and completed sims. Say you scored > 90% on what you completed, you would probably end up with a > 75 score.

I took FAR a couple of weeks ago and ended up with a 75…This time leaving myself with 1:20 minutes for sims and completed all 7. I know my MCQ score was much weaker than the first time I took it but I nailed the sims and that's what picked me up.

Make sure you leave at least 1:30 minutes of sufficient time for sims. Don't be a hard head like me, guess and move on in MCQ!

@govtec…. I hope I get 75, just like yours, I can still feel that I didn't do well on the mcqs. I'm only 90% sure about the 1st testlet but testlet 2 and 3 were very difficult and I kept shaking my head to the questions as they come. I will say my performance will be 50-50 on testlet 2 and 3.

I nailed the Sims cos I have done some extensive search on all the Sims I got and things look good with the exception of one sim which I think was probably created by some aliens somewhere, but the mcqs still puts me in a limbo.

Govtec….I need that luck you got …lol

Hiya govtec.. when you took far the second time – were your Mcq's super hard ? or was it because you were rushing to get to the sims and thats why you didn't do as well Mcq's this time round.

Sorry i am trying to gauge your experience with mine.

brainfarts – I think it was a combination of rushing and questions came up on my weaker area. It wasn't super hard, probably medium on all 3 testlet and I got overconfidence from doing so well on the mcq section the first time and probably didn't put as much study time effort into it like I should. I read the entire wiley book once again and lived on ninja and yaeger notes the last couple of weeks.

ok – I felt my mcqs were more medium with a few hard ones mixed up here and there. I think I did well on the SIM but never know.. Hopefully I get a 75 too 🙂
