Let go from Temp Job. What now?

Back in July a recruiting firm called Robert Half found me a temp to hire job. It was a billing clerk position at a network solutions company that does third party billing for clients. Supervisor greeted me and two others. After 30 days we were expected to be able to process and post 100 bill invoices per day.

We went through an eight hour training on first day. A trainer (1 yr veteran) showed us how to record and post all of the bill invoices and its charges. On the second day we went through another 2-3 hour training session. After that we were told to start processing bills on our own in the new bill queue in the company’s database. Each bill we finished was placed on hold for the trainer to check our work. First two weeks all three of us temps made plenty of mistakes and had to correct them. Week three and four I was getting better at it but there were still bill invoices I made mistakes in. Some of the bill invoices I encountered were very complicated and not shown in training how to handle. I had to ask for help from trainer. I wrote and memorized how to handle them in the future; however I would continue to encounter bills with circumstantial situations never encountered.

Week five I felt like I was getting a hang of things. I only had two bills that my trainer told me I had to fix (record low). I recognized my mistake and fixed them immediately. It was a Friday, and I had a good feeling that in another week or two I would finally have a good work flow in this billing position. However I get a call from Robert Half that my assignment is over, the supervisor decided not to retain me. Supervisor was not in her office. The other two temps did not get the dreaded call. It didn’t make sense. The other two temps made their fair share of mistakes. One of the temps got in trouble for touching a bill in a different queue he wasn’t suppose to touch. Supervisor actually gave him a warning in her office. The other temp spoke bad English and had to constantly ask and ask again on how to handle complicated bills he encountered because he usually didn’t “get it” the first time when told.

During lunch break I found out that another bill clerk temp who has worked for 3 months was also let go. My only guess as to why I was let go was perhaps due to not meeting the 30 day expectations and still making minor mistakes on bills. I emailed supervisor asking for feedback. She never replied back to me. A Robert Half rep told me they are now hesitate placing me into new assignments since it was the supervisor who requested I be let go. This gives me more reason to believe my performance may have been the issue. I needed more time before I could do quantity and quality at same time.

    My questions are:

Should I put this on my resume despite being for only 1 month?

Why would the supervisor not reply back to my email and give me a feedback on what I could improve on as a working professional?

I was making vast improvements in my 4th and 5th week (fewer mistakes). When I did make mistakes I would recognize them immediately and fix them.

If my mistakes were an issue or not meeting 100 per day was an issue how come I never got a warning from the supervisor?

One more thing I would like to mention. No accounting degree was required for the position I had. There also seems to be a high turnover rate. Supervisor has been at the company for five years. Everyone else had only been there for 1 year (3 people) or were temps ranging from 1-4 months (6 people including me and other temp who was let go).
