I recently submitted my application for licensure and I got a letter in the mail from the Board stating that they “will consider my application at the following date, time, and place. This is an open invitation and you are encouraged to attend.” I had a minor blemish on my background and I am wondering if I really do need to attend to speak in front of the Board or if this letter goes to every Florida applicant. Your input is appreciated. Thanks.

I did not get any type of letter like that when I got my license last year. The only thing I got was about a week after I applied, a letter stating they did not have my test scores for the final test. I could see online when they finally got them. Then I didn't hear anything until July when I saw online that I had a license (a few weeks later I got the letter giving me my license # and a mini version of my certificate…then a few weeks after that I got the certificate).

It may be in your best interest to follow up on this.
