    Hi,

I am interested in pursuing GGU(SF campus)’s master of accountancy cohort program and would like to know job placement

for this program. Out of 30~35 students, how many would eventually get a job? Among those, how many would land a job with

Big 4? Also, would it be better to pursue MS Tax, instead?

Lastly, from what I see, many students attend Fall Career Fair and get a full-time job or an internship during the Fall Career Fair. But then…doesn’t the cohort program officially start around August?

Thank you for sharing your informations.

    Best,

Golden Gate's Masters in Taxation program is superb. All of the West Coast and several other areas have complete respect for graduates from the Tax program there. I know a couple firms in Seattle, 3/4 or more of the partners seem to have graduated from GGU's tax program. The program boasts 90-100% placement rate every single year. Including during the recession years. I know their day cohort program is very rigorous and has an emphasis on tax law, but it is only 9-months, and there is no GMAT requirement.

Remember however that a Masters in Taxation, is just that- Taxation. Nothing else. Tax law. If you aren't positive you want to do tax, be open to other options. If you do know you want to pursue tax then go for it.

Their Masters of Accountancy program however, does not have the same amount of prestige. It however does seem to be a good program, but their placement is not as high as the MT. I do have a friend that got a job with PwC after GGU's MAc program, but she also graduated very high in their class.

    REG- Waiting 7/1/13
    BEC- Waiting 7/23/13
    AUD- Studying 8/12/13
    FAR- Signed up 10/1/13
Studying with CPAExcel and Wiley Test Bank.
