McGladrey office interview visit response time- how long is too long?

I had an office interview at Mcgladrey on Tuesday and it’s now Thursday. How long does it take to receive an offer? I’m quite worried bc ppl who receive offers say they usually hear back the same day or the next day.

I also received two thank you replies. One said “good luck on the rest of the process” and another said “we hope you enjoyed your time here, Good luck in the future.” Do they know the results? Are these bad signs…

Some feedback would be appreciated, thank you!!!

Honestly, as someone working in Public, you just need to relax. Lol. You interviewed two days ago. Everyone works differently, and they might have to have a meeting about the candidates or something and they also have work to do.. Candidates get so psyched out by everything employers say.. The best thing to do is to just go and do your best, and if you did that there's no reason to get worked up about everything. I got my offer a week after I interviewed. So just depends on the firm and what they have going on. They have other stuff to do besides hire too.

@jbisdamon: thank you for your reply! I admit I'm overreacting and should patiently wait, but it's all easier said than done ;( I will update when I receive a result. Thank you for your support!

Haha no problem. A year from now you'll be wondering why you were so anxious about all these little things! But When I went through the process I was the same Way. it's a challenging time, but you will make it through like the rest!

I got a call today and the recruiter said that they are holding another round of interviews in the office, so the final result will take another week. I guess we weren't great as a whole if they are looking for more candidates. I'm still very interested in the firm – should I email the partner to reiterate my interest whilst they are interviewing more candidates so I won't be forgotten?

Just because they are doing another round of interviews does not mean you are not good enough. Remember lots of people apply and they will need to interview everyone that they think looks good on paper. Also remember that most interviews are done around people's schedules. I had a phone interview with HR and it took 2 weeks before I could go in for an inperson interview because all the people that were to interview me were off on projects. Now I am waiting another 2 weeks after my initial interview to meet with the Managing partner because she was not there when I was there.

It takes time. Some people are lucky to get everyone in the office and get interviewed. You don't want to seem too pushy. If you were out of the running HR would have told you that they were not interested. Just relax as. If you made an impression they will not forget you.

McGladrey called me Monday out of the blue about my website application from two months ago. They're bringing me in for an office visit next week, without even a phone interview.

They obviously need a lot of people, at least in the Northeast. They probably just landed some new clients or realized they're way understaffed. More rounds of interviews is a good sign, not a bad.

@cpahopeful2828 Congratulations!! I wasn't called in for another interview though, they just called to tell me that they decided to interview more people and it will take a bit longer for a final result to come out. So I'm just waiting now, as patiently as I can haha. Good luck on your interview đŸ˜€

Back when I was interviewing with the Big 4s, I received all my offers within about 5-7 business days from the date of your second round interview at the office. Rejections usually take longer.

When I had my McGladrey office visit, an offer was given the same day. I guess it depends on the office location, the needs of the office, and whether or not the partners want to bring in more candidates.

Update on how long a response took: I received my verbal offer from HR yesterday, three business days after my interview. Likely going to accept this one.
