do about ten at a time to get a good feel. Then increase by 5 for another round then increase to 20. It goes by really fast. I stopped worrying about getting them all correct. I get as many correct as possible, and take notes on the ones I get wrong. Even if I get them all wrong in my designated session. I'm much better now

    It begins with a 75

When working NINJA, my strategy is to do sets of 30 at a time. I do 30, walk away for 10 minutes before coming back to do another 30. For FAR you might bump that down to 20 just because those MCQ take a bit longer.

One other piece of advice, don't just bang through 500 MCQ for the sake of doing MCQ or because of Jeff's challenge. It's much more important to go slowly and understand the concepts each individual MCQ is trying to hit home on. You want to take a moment for each MCQ and say “this is the right answer because… The other answers are wrong because…” Then if you miss the question you need to take another moment to understand why you were wrong.

Good luck. FAR was not fun but it's doable.

I just started studying (again) for FAR and I've been doing customized sets of 30 “new questions” by category. I take short notes on the questions I miss and even some that I get right. This was the strategy I used for BEC, so hopefully it works for FAR!

If I notice I'm consistently missing questions on a certain topic, I'll remove them from the customized set. Last night I kept missing statement of cash flow questions and eventually removed them so that I could continue seeing other topics. Before I started MCQs today, I re-read the text and videos for statement of cash flows. Then, I went back and did a set of only cash flow statement questions before continuing with the rest of the category.

    Good luck to you!
