Not to the point of doing MCQs yet for AUD, but I'm studying! Way to set your goals! Go and get 'em! I failed FAR my first time and it was painful! But, trust me, you can come back and kick its butt!

First and foremost, I wasn't fully reading, analyzing and understanding the question. I had gotten into the habit of charging through MCQs and when it was too late I realized I had memorized the answers, not understood the concepts. My second time around I did MCQs except that for every possible one – even when not being asked to – I would write out the JE. Getting the flow of JEs helped significantly. I also talked my way through EVERY question and would rationalize why I thought my choice was the correct answer. I explained concepts to my husband, my three kids (ages 12, 9, and 4), my mom, my sisters, my dog, my fish – because when you are teaching a concept to someone you understand it better than if it's being taught to YOU. So, I began teaching others about the topics in FAR. They hated me…until I passed! Then we were all happy!
