I am totally having one right now. I have 21 days until AUD and I am NOT like doing well. Trending 60-70 and almost every single MCQ answers I have, I narrow to 2. I ALMOST always get it wrong. What is the problem?

I really do feel I should move my test but that means moving REG further into the year. I have to review Audit Evidence since I’m struggling in that. How can people pass this exam in 20 days? FAR is so much easier than this….. I didn’t have to doubt myself when I had FAR mcqs….. >.<

I haven't started AUD yet, but I feel that 3 weeks is plenty of time to step your score up! Usually I save two weeks for reviewing everything, where I go back and read my notes and flash cards (if I still don't understand the materials, I will reread that chapter or rewatch the lectures), and then do the homework. Just keep at it and do not lose hope or motivation and I believe you will kick butt!

that trending is really okay, this software is tough.

It sounds like you should take a break from MCQs, even if just a day. You're getting frustrated and you need a clear head to be able to take in the question and study.

I'd definitely recommend maybe focusing on your summary outline or whatever, and go back to MCQs when you're confident in your abilities again.

Calm down, you are doing fine. My REG test is in a week and I'm still trending in the 70's. But, I'm going to pass REG. I always peak on test day. Just keep plugging away, and stop doing MCQ's occasionally to actually study. We can sometimes become over reliant on them IMO.

And remember that audit is the devil. It just is. There is a special place in hell for the people who developed that test.

hasy, it is so important to know the type of engagement, issuer v nonissuer, and where you are in the process. audits are done in phases so know each phase and the tasks to be done in each. reading the standards may help, too. having the list of standards printed out may help because the order they are listed in roughly follows the sequence of events.
the assertions can be tough so keep reviewing.
3 weeks is a lot of time. if you are using ninja mcqs use your detailed progress report to identify the question sections you are weakest in. read all the info that comes up with responses. if still confused read the standard section that is cited in the answer to grasp the concepts better.
    good luck!

    Audit is a tricky monster.

I think this test is far, far, far (no pun intended :)) more difficult for people, like us hasy, with limited audit and public accounting exposure.

I too was destroyed on the sections on audit evidence and the revenue cycle on Becker. I think the first time through, i scored a 50 or 60. Then, I tried to answer the questions a second time through, but nope. A third time through, but NOPE again. A fourth time through, but yet again NO. Eventually, I just said “FUCK IT” and looked at the answer. For me, they truly didn't make logical sense. The nastiness of the questions lied in their grey nature. They would always have 4 examples, which were all “bad” options, but you had to choose the least “bad” one or vice versa.

Luckily, the other sections were easier for me and I think they should be for you as well. If you're like me, I would devote most of your study time to these two areas (audit evidence and revenue cycle). Eventually, I just ended up memorizing a great deal of the audit evidence part and the revenue cycle, since it just didn't click for me. I was hoping I could make up understanding by just having brute information memorized. My tactic didn't work great, but I managed to get a 76; since I typically do better on the multiple choice (score report doesn't show it in my state), I figure I probably got a few points higher on the MC (I got difficult test-lets).

You're probably smarter than me though, so you should be fine.

B=84 This exam was such a b**** that I thought I failed-don't know how these things work
A=76 Slacker I am, I'll happily take it
    R=81 I LOVE taxes
F=80 I don't wanna get banned for an expletive I'm thinking with "yea" proceeding it

Having a meltdown too. Went from trending 85% now to 82%. exam is 8/27. Haven't practiced sims much because it's basically a crapshoot but I definitely know my adjusting entries if it throws me some. My brain can only take in so much information so hopefully it plays to my strengths.
