Has anyone had problems w/ any of the exams, as far as doing the questions so many times, they became memorized and the the actual exam was not as you had prepared for?
Just wondering....Hoping to not fall into that trap.
Any advice or past experiences would be greatly appreciated!!

totally, this always happens to me, where I memorize the answers even after the first time I do the question. How to fix this? Simple, read the answer explanation (Becker gives good explanations), and what I do is every time I answer a question a second time, I explain the answer to myself without reading it. If you understand WHY you are getting the answer, it won't matter if you already know what it is.
I started reading the explainations to try and absorb the material in a different way. I even went out and bought the Wiley Q & A book. There are still some of the same questions. But, I have noticed that I struggle more on the Wiley book..probably because I'm starting to lose the concepts learned in Becker due to accidentally memorizing the questions (not sure if that makes sense or not).
Just alittle worried because I'm scoring 80's-90's on final exams, progress test etc.
I dont want it to be an illusion to what the actual exam consists of.

Haha first person I've ever seen worried about scoring that high.
It seems like you've never taken an actual CPA test, so let me put your worries at ease. The questions you will get on the actual exam will be similar in nature to those in Becker. Obviously they'll be different questions, but they'll be testing the same things. Often I find myself doing Becker questions and messing up because of some stupid little error that wasn't clear in the question, these questions help you in the real exam because you are prepared for those little things that trip you up before you memorize the questions. Always look for the call of the question, and read it carefully, and you should be fine.
You should check out AICPA released questions, that's my best advice for you to get a feel of what the actual exam questions will be like and try to do them for the first time.

If you are scoring 80-90s on Becker Final Exams, in my opinion, you have nothing to worry about. In my experience Becker always posed more difficult questions than the actual exam.
Relax, and go knock it out of the park. Good luck.

Yes, it is my understanding that Becker purchases questions from the AICPA, but it is a fairly common opinion the their final exams and homework questions are more difficult than the actual exam. I believe that they do use the difficult questions.

Most review courses buy the same questions from the AICPA. The Wiley book uses the AICPA questions.
