I took reg 2 days ago, think I did ok on mc, testlet got harder. For sims, most of them are super long, and I couldn’t find the answer for the research sim, spent too much time on it, and ended scratching answers for some of the other sims and left 1 sim blank. I didn’t even have time to fill in some 0s there. In general, I think I’m 100% wrong on 2 sims….

Anybody had a similar situation?

My sims were absolutely terrible and all but 2 were on topics that I wasn't entirely familiar with and finding help in the AL was quite useless and I ended up straight guessing on 2 of them. Luckily I found the research easily but I just barely passed by the skin of my teeth. I wouldn't give up hope yet as long as you did well on the MCQ. I came out of both REG and AUD more mentally exhausted than I did FAR. But seriously, you may be surprised as I was come score release.

Well if its any consolation, I completely guessed on 1 sim by just filling in random numbers with a blindfold because the clock was ticking with 45 seconds left. I ended up passing Reg with a 79 and my sims were categorized at “Stronger” under my score report. I don't know how the heck that happened but keep hope alive.

I completely guessed on 1 sim but at the same time I only felt confident about 3 sims out of the 6 and also remember that one is a pretest. I think you passed.

Thanks hilight for responding. Cos I spent so much time looking answer for the 1 research sim, and seriously could not find anything! And then after that I scrambled answer for 2 other sims, and left 1 sim completely blank. I feel so bad.

And if I don't pass this one, my bec is expiring..

and it sounds like you are going to higher points for your mcq's so you have to consider that as well. Congrats on passing in advance 🙂

Hi, I am in a similar situation took FAR for the 2nd time. My audit is expiring, I think I did okay on mcqs. I am sure I got 2 sims wrong and I guessed on some other sims too. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I took REG last month. I spent too much time on the MCs, which were getting progressively harder, and I didn't have enough time on the sims. I couldn't find the research question for the life of me and I didn't feel confident in the majority of my sims. I think there was really only one that I felt ‘okay' with. For one sim, I just plugged in numbers because I had less than a minute left on the clock. I ended up getting an 86. So don't lose hope! I think it's a good sign that your testlets were getting harder. Also, I'm kind of in the same boat as you since I need to pass BEC this month or else FAR expires. Hope you get that pass!

I had a very similar experience when I took FAR last month. It was my first exam ever and no matter how many practice tests you do or how much others tell you about their experience, you'll never fully know what to expect on game day until you've done it before. I didn't manage my time very well and so I left 2 SIMS completely blank. I felt I did okay on the MCQs, maybe even better than okay but I'm trying to stay realistic about the fact that there's a good chance that I failed because of the SIMS. Was this your first test? I've done a bunch of searching and there have been people who have passed with leaving SIMS unfinished. What I'm getting based on others' posts is that you really never know with this exam. Maybe you rocked the MCQs and you'll pull away with a pass. Try to stay positive and if it doesn't work out in your favor, you'll slay it next time!

@Mandi, this is my last exam. I just feel bad that I left 1 sim blank. FYI, when I took far, I didn't have enough time in the end, and I scratched answers for the last sim,maybe scratched answers for 2 sims or so and left half of the sim unfinished, and I passed. Good luck with your far!

My REG sims blew. I spent probably 25 min on the research question because the keyword was implied but not explicit in the paragraph they gave.

I did finish all of them though.
