Of course, anyone else who has had some experience going from really low to passing… please chime in. 🙂

mla1169- I noticed you took AUD 3 times to pass, and increased you raised your score 13 points to pass… I was hoping you could give me some tips on what you did to make such a difference.

I’m about to study for round 3 of AUD. (well, round 2 since I started restudying this year) I scored a 63 last time around… I plan to take the test on Nov 9 or 10, giving me about 6-7 weeks to prepare. I currently have Yaeger home study, Wiley books and testbank, NINJA notes, and am contemplating getting NINJA audio.

@TXCPAGAL12; For me, AUD was much easier after taking FAR.

    REG- 81
    BEC- 72,76
    AUD- 67,88
    FAR- 78

    Done!

I increased my score by 17 points to pass on my fifth try. I made sure I read all explanations on all the answers to understand why something was right and why something was wrong. The only thing I did differently the last time was that I actually re-wrote all the ninja notes and I invested in the ninja audio and listened to it in full once a week for about 5-6 weeks during my commutes to work. It really helped to make some of the items stick this time. I also spent some more time studying the sims.

I blame Jeff. AUD was my final exam when I failed with a 71. I was very VERY angry with the world and I bought Jeffs Ninja notes. I decided that I was going to follow his suggestions to the letter, INCLUDING rewriting my notes. I figured I'd fail miserably again but at least have him to pin it on. Seriously, I was looking for ANYONE to blame besides myself.

Turns out theres a good reason he stopped getting 71's!

All tongue in cheek of course but I decided “my way” wasn't working for me. So between the wiley book, the wiley test bank and the Ninja notes I pulled it off!

I didn't raise my score, but only passed the 1st time because I did the Wiley questions. For the other sections I never took the time to get through them all, but for AUD it was key. The questions are more “pick the best” vs the only right answer, which sucked for me. But I didn't see much I hadn't seen before in some form or another on AUD after doing the Wiley questions.

Also I did have the ninja notes/audio for all the sections. I would say it was the most helpful for AUD and actually the only section I really used the audio for. I used the ninja notes as a study outline. The notes consist of the key points only (hence “notes”) so I would go through them and think about everything I knew for each bullet point. If all I knew was what was written there I went back to the book.

alot of people have said, taking FAR before AUD helped them pass AUD? I think in AUD there is alot of repeat material from BEC and some from REG. Havent looked over FAR yet. so taking AUD after FAR would help? because I more than half-way through AUD already.

There is overlap from most of the exams … whatever you want to do is fine.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

mla1169- I'm thinking I will follow close to the NINJA plan as well so I'm hoping it will help increase my score drastically.

I'm still contemplating the audio since I have a round trip commute every day of about 1 hr 15 min. Considering I have at least 6 weeks before the exam, I can listen every day and get through it plenty of times before test comes around! In a way I can “study” while driving! 🙂

bnrhilton- Great advice. I have the NINJA notes but I maybe rewrote them about 1 time and then focused on rewriting my own notes :-/. I'm going to follow the plan this time around in addition to listening to the Yaeger lectures all over and doing a crazy number of MCQs again.

I had the wiley audio (all hail Anita Feller) and listened while I was working, while I was doing housework and while I slept at night. Hoping for some subliminal messages or whatnot.

haha! Hubby might go crazy if I played it at night… but it might make for a mighty fine study buddy to quiz me before the big day!

It was funny, I went away overnight (gasp!) during all the crazy studying and my husband said “It was so weird to sleep without you & Anita”.

He does not miss her a bit. Neither do I!
