    I don’t know why, but I have ZERO motivation to study for AUD. Maybe I’m just a little scared. Any advise/inspiration would be great.

    I don't really have motivation to help with AUD but I think you should consider taking BEC again. I found out the hard way that failing a section and circling back to it means basically starting over. Since BEC is fresh in your mind, take it again til you pass, then move onto AUD. At least that is what I would do. Maybe BEC early October and AUD end of November then you will be done by the end o the year! 🙂 That would be awesome!!

    And please tell me the 89 does not mean the year you were born because damn I feel old! 😉

    @ futuremdcpa…if you are not working you can still try to make it! Don't give up! Jeff has a post about a 3 week study plan….I couldn't find it. Maybe try that method. Either way, if you are heart is not in it, you will find it hard to find motivation. But try to dig deep if you can….3.5 weeks not working and just studying might be doable.

    Jeff – if you see this maybe you can post the link you have about the 3 week study plan?

    Good luck!! DIG DEEP and don't let life get in the way…life waits for no one. 🙁 Sucks at time. But you will be so happy with yourself when you finish this exam.

    @Mickey89

    I know exactly how you feel… I think at some point or another everyone feels without energy, stressed, bored, tired, unmotivated, and just blah…

    But this the part where we separate the babies from the adults… You just have to stay at it, push yourself and be disciplined!

    I have been awful this time around with being motivated. I absolutely do not want to study anymore. I thought being on the last exam would be a huge motivator…nope. I hate REG, I think it is the most dreadfully boring section. I have 3 weeks to go and am feeling like my quality of studying has been terrible so far. I just listen to lectures, barely manage some MCQ's and have done virtually no SIMS. I just can't find it in me to care anymore. Hoping this will change or I will get really lucky exam day. As of today, I would say my odds are not good.

    Mikey,

    Keep Trucking! If it makes you feel any better, I thought all my testlets got easier in AUD as I went through, and I made it. My sims were also far from the nightmare everyone makes them out to be.

    First!

    If you have the extra time in relation to past test passing grades expiring, why not take a week or two away from it? And if you are far enough out and not close to being up to it, extend! I don't really get the studying starting the day after the last part of the test..its crazy, like junky behind a locked door crazy.

    This is a long term test with high demands, but taking a break is a good idea if you are feeling the fatigue, or even if you have reached the end of a section. After my first section I had to escape my room, so I took a month and went on a backpacking adventure and forgot anything and everything in the real world, and definitely on that part of the test :). This time around though, I feel like the rest between sections has allowed recuperation for my overloaded coffee addled brain, and I'm only giving it 10 days and I'm be back at it.

    All I can really tell you is that you can do this. You have come this far, and giving up, or slowing down is foolish. Be dedicated as a mother hen while at it, and remember to relax after you have achieved your goals. Remember, this test unlocks worlds of possibility, and that's why you will dedicate a year (or two) to it. And not too drag that ridiculous concept back from the dead, but nothing that is worthwhile is easy.

    Good luck to all!
