    Hello all,

I need 22 more credits to meet 150 so I decided to enroll in masters program. Full time working so I am looking for something online (cheaper as possible). University of Maryland has online program for $675 per credit. Is there any other instituion cheaper than this which are accredited. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

You'll have to weigh the ROI on having a MS in Accounting after you've completed the CPA Exam. My guess is that it isn't material.

    “They're a CPA? meh.

Oh – but they have a Master's in Accounting!

Why didn't you mention that!!!???” 🙂

I started a MS program for the 150 but didn't finish myself.

    Here is another alternative:
    Wiley CPAexcel

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

Thanks Jeff. Yes they do have MS in accounting. I have to complete 22 credits so I guess rather than taking random courses, why not enroll in Masters. I agree that it might not add any value (especially) online but I have no option but to finish these credits to be license.

I got my MSA since my BS is in an unrelated degree and I wanted to do it in the cheapest way possible. I got mine from Liberty University (https://www.liberty.edu/online/masters/accounting/), and full-time enrollment fees are currently $490/credit. They're regionally and ACBSP accredited.

I learned a lot in terms of writing tax memos and researching cases, but that's because there's much more in terms of researching and writing papers than there is homework sets or actual tests. I probably wouldn't recommend them if you're looking to have some actual advanced accounting knowledge under your belt, but the program is fairly inexpensive, fully online, accredited, and the classes are in 8-week formats, so it worked for my purposes!
