Hi, I have an MS in Finance. Will that satisfy the “graduate degree in business” requirement in MA for non-reporting license ? I have ZERO work-experience in Accounting.

No idea. You should probably contact your state board or review their website. Have you tried looking at finance jobs? Might have better luck with your job search.

@Mike…just to help answer your question, this is the email I sent to MA coordinator, you can also find the response below.

    Hello,

I'm a DE candidate and hoping to transfer my scores over to MA for a Non-Reporting License. I have a Bachelors degree from outside the US and I know I will need to provide my transcript for evaluation on that aspect.

I also hold an MBA from Colorado Heights University which is Nationally accredited.

Will my masters degree from this nationally accredited school be considered as part of eligibility for the Non-Reporting License?

I'm asking this question because some other states have refused to accept the degree from this school because it is Nationally Accredited.

Your response to this question will be very helpful as I hope to get all the facts together before I transfer my scores to MA. Let me know if you have any question. Thank you

    SEE THE RESPONSE BELOW…

As long as the school is either Nationally or Regionally accredited it is OK. The foreign evaluation has to be done either by CED or NIES those are the only two companies MA State Board of Accountancy will accept.

Yes finance should qualify as a business degree. Give them a calm to confirm of course but any business related graduate degree should count. My masters is in accounting and I've got a non reporting license.

Thank you everyone for your responses. I did email them (MAlicense@nasba.org) , asking about MS in Finance and MS in Investment Mgmt (for one of my co-workers). Will post the response from nasba here once I hear back from them.
