I’ve done 2 tests in a window, April 8 and May 30, but i’ve noticed some sigs around here where folks have taken 2 tests in a week and got 90’s on both. What in the actual hell have they done? Tips?

I would suspect they are fresh out of school, or else have a twin that takes one test for them 🙂

    REG- (1) 76
    FAR- (2) 64, (5)74, (7)83 (Over achiever!)
    AUD- (3) 70, (4) 75
    BEC- (6) 75

I study full time. I couldn't imagine knocking out tests that fast. I need five weeks at least.

    REG 2/26/14 - 90
    BEC 4/08/14 - 92
    FAR 5/31/14 - 90
    AUD 7/09/14 -

The only people I've heard of taking multiple tests in the same week are international kids who have to fly to America to take the test. Props to them, idk how they do it either. I think 3 in one window is perfectly manageable if you're studying full time. Once you're working, even 2 seems like a stretch. I feel for the people who work a full day then come home to study.

I am blessed with the ability to study at work for at least a couple hours, but i can't get much done at home with a wife and a 2 year old. It has been a difficult journey to say the least.

Today, I sat for FAR at 8am and REG at 3:30pm. I'm pretty sure I didn't pass, but I was attempting to ward off losing my audit credit. Now, I wait until May 5th to see if all my pain and suffering was worth it.

I decided to push it because I want to be done, already. And, once upon a time, I recall taking multiple parts in one day, when the exam was administered with pencil and paper – as I date myself. Lol!

Think back to when you were in college and took all your final exams in a week…it's kinda the same thing – you have to spend awhile preparing for both/all of them in order to do multiple in a day or week. If you have a reason to need to do that – like that you have to fly to another country to test – then it can definitely be done!

If the goal is just speed of accomplishing the tests, then I think that multiple in a window works better than multiple in a week. There was a kid on here last summer that took – and passed – all 4 in the July-August window, first exam in the first couple days of July and last one in the end of August. Wish I could remember his name…he probably shared some “here's how” advice, but I think it boiled down to efficiently studying full-time. Pretty inspiring IMHO. 🙂

In 2012 I took Audit on July 7, Reg in early August and BEC at the end of August. I was working at the time but really disliked my job and kept promising myself the CPA exam was the ticket out. FAR was taken at the end of November 2012.

Would I do it again? Probably not.It was a lot of self-induced pressure. Aud-92; Reg 87; BEC 80 were my scores.

cpakate, what study methods, schedule did you use to pass 3 in one window? Your story sounds like mine, I need my ticket out!

I used Becker self-study and supplemented with Ninja Notes. I'd study during lunch and 2-3 hours after work (plus took several small breaks). The Becker Final Exams and progress tests were invaluable- finding weak areas and addressing those really helped. The flashcards are highly recommended also.

On weekends, I'd study as much as possible- a minimum of 2 hours in the morning and 2 in the afternoon.

    Good luck!
