After all of the stop & go of the exam process, sit and wait……..NOW I have to get my AECR to send in with my license app. I mailed off my transcripts and application a week ago Monday and got an email on Friday that it was received. Got an email last night that it was being evaluated. Got an email this morning that it passed the first round of evaluation and is now being reviewed for quality assurance purposes.

They are toying with me still! The email updates are nice but I keep getting my hopes up to see one that says “approved” when I get email from them!

I understand your frustration. I took my last exam in November and I didn't even send in the licensing forms yet because I am still waiting for approval of 3 credits I am missing (I have more than 150 credits, but I was missing 3 business credits…)

I hope your wait is over really soon!

I'm right there with ya. Got my final passing score on 11/3, needed my maters (in lieu of experience in MA) which was conferred on 1/1/12.

Took FOREVER to get my transcripts, which I got about a week and a half ago, now waiting on the AECR then I can mail my application. Trying to get my reference letters together in the meantime because I have to mail it by March 1 if I want it reviewed on March 15.

@mla1169, I'm going to be applying in MA too. You're under MA right? What do you mean by reference letters?! And I don't have a masters, but I have 150 credits..

Peanut do you have the experience? I don't have any experience working under a CPA so I am going for a non-reporting license. I need an employment letter then 3 character reference letters. This is the app for a non reporting license and the letters are mentioned in requirements 6 and 7

This is the app for a full reporting license and the letter requirements are mentioned in #s 7 and 8

@mla1169, I do have the one year experience. Thank you so much for posting that link. I feel like I'm going to be SO lost once I finish my exams. I'm still registered under NY…. I'll have to transfer those credits as well.
