I think you are right CPAWannaBe...that makes sense....I hope for a score release this week.
GA - NASBA state

I think you are right CPAWannaBe...that makes sense....I hope for a score release this week.
Based on what I have seen, its bad luck..... I plan on doing what I have been doing each night on score release day for the past 2 ,, I buy a six pack of Yuengling, order me some extremely spicy chinese food and blast Springsteen... all while hitting F5 repeatedtly with my hand covering the lower right hand portion of my monitor...
Do you have to through the entire sign up again? I did. References, etc... So I just quit. Did anyone else have this problem w/the loophole?
How long after AICPA release does the loophole work?
Thanks
NJTProadwarrior,
I don't think Springsteen would appreciate you blasting him after eating extremely spicy Chinese food! =)
Can someone help me find where i can get my jurisdiction ID #?
Is this your first time taking the exam? and are you a NASBA state? (NY and NJ among others are such states)
If this is your first time taking the exam, you have to call up NASBA to receive it, or you must wait until you get the score back and it will be on the paper... If you are a returning candidate, it will be on that piece of paper you received from NASBA with your previous score...
I cannot speak for non-NASBA states... : )
I am in GA a NASBA state.
When I log on to my website on to NASBA, BEC, test I am waiting for is grayed out.
I called NASBA before I got my first scores back to schedule my next exam & they were able to give it to me over the phone. Not that it mattered or will matter for this loophole thing, rescheduling online always gave me error messages & I had to call to reschedule. Anyone else have that?
Here is my situation -
I am in PA. Just tried the OH site and it says all exams are in process. Is this good or bad? Does it mean anything. I took BEC on 3/1/10...
I don't believe the process is instantaneous, only the AICPA releases the scores, it does not necessarily mean that NASBA received them,;it doesn't take much time, just time to transmit, time to decouple the data etc., release them for "review" to "the states", which most states is just a perfunctory review (WI is not one of those states), and then authorize for the release via the NASBA website...
In sum, based on the information provided from the various contributors the loophole only works in the day 8-16 hours before the actual release on the NASBA website...
If people are waiting for the score of their 4th exam and the message switches to you've passed all, then that's probably when most people can use it to check their exam status and if they are able/unable to re-register for a section. Post and let us know if your message changes! :)
Well just wanted you guys to know that I just tried this myself for BEC. Went to the OH website last night and tried and it told me that my scores were in process. Tried it again this morning and it just told me that I have already passed all parts of the Uniform CPA Examination. I live in TN and this was my last section to pass and BEC scores were released to NASBA yesterday at 5:30 pm. So now I'm waiting until tonight to officially see if I passed.
Dsauce - same thing happened to me. Last night it said all score were in process, now it says I have passed all parts. Does anyone thing this is a reliable indication???
I tried last night and it would not let me re-register for BEC, so I had hope. This morning, I tried again, and now it is letting me re-register for BEC, so I guess I will be taking it again. :-( Should be able to see my score tonight.
It is doing the same thing to me today as it did last night. My BEC exam is still grayed out.
I like how no one raised the question of ethics in regards to this loophole.
I remember a few years ago, about 2004 or 2005, when there was a loophole like this one with Harvard and MIT where students could see ahead of time if they were granted admission to the school. The schools were able to see who accessed the information and denied admission to those people regardless of their previous status.
Is trampling on your own integrity worth having information 24 hours ahead of time?
I do not 'nor cannot see anything remotely unethical about it,, no one is hacking/tampering or attempting to gain unlawful access onto a server or system, I personally see it as one of those quirks and will NOT do so because I kind of enjoy the anxiety and fun of pressing F5 in a twisted way and watching my blood pressure ever increase when seeing: Error: Score not found. Please verify Section ID Number and Date of Birth format and re-submit at each press...
D3Deuel - Looking back at all the old posts to this thread it does seem to be reliable. Looks like it worked in Wave 1.
NJTProadwarrior-I completely agree with you.
D3Deuel and HFBamaFan - I think it is safe to say that you passed! Congratulations!
D3Deuel - you are a CPA!
because the term loophole typically implies it would be unethical but if you understand how the "loophole" works you would see it is not a loophole at all just a dumb quirk in the system that does not let you reapply to sit for your section if you received a passing score before it is ratified by your state board.....no biggie like 24 advanced implied notice of good/bad news before it is offical.......
but on the surface I thought the same but then investigated it and that is why Jeff has not banned all posted related to it........name change is preferred ........call it what it is........so what would you call it......forcast
@brla I have never been able to register for a re-exam online either. I have always gotten a variety of stupid error messages after entering tons of information over and over again. This last time it even let me go all the way to putting my cc number in, and gave me a confirmation number and everything. 2 weeks later after the charge never posted to my cc and I still had not received my nts, I called nasba and their only response was "wow it must be lost in cyberspace - let's do it over the phone. If you end up getting charged twice just call us back and we'll give you a credit." Whatever. I have no idea if this loophole will work for me (since I technically didn't register online) but I'm going to give it a try and post here again to let everyone know (i'm in Missouri).
Just got my BEC score from NASBA and I did pass just like the OH website said. Good luck to everyone.
Congrats dsauce!!! ; )
I received a 75 on BEC. The loophole holds true. FAR I am tackling you now.
I check my AUD on Loopholes link- for CO sate.
Ystr Night it was gray - not allowing me to click on AUD (Pass?).
Nxt Day morning it is changed and allowing me to enter.. Means what???
I got an email from reevaluation of my CA India Degree earlier.
Nasba is not displaying my score on line.
What to do did any one passed thru such situation????????
so my prediction was correct. i passed FAR and BEC last year, waiting for AUD score. my NTS for REG is active and scheduled for next month
my message was "sorry, all of your scores are in process" - and tonight i found out i passed AUD
