Here is my story: Took FAR last August….got a 74…had already signed up for AUD so went ahead and took that, and passed. Then came tax season so I just mentally said I would take off and get back after that. Well…then I found out I was pregnant with #3. So…I am just now getting back into my studying and feel like I need to get this test done before she comes, or I might not have time to take other two (assuming I pass FAR) without AUD expiring.

All that to say. I am due Aug 28th (C-Section so I know the date) and taking the test Aug 3rd. When I initially signed up the 13th was the first available and I about flipped out, but I randomly checked last week and the 3rd had opened up. So I changed to the 3rd, but now I have 10 less days to study for the exam. And only one full week to review. I have only had time to go re-watch all videos and work all MC questions. I am doing pretty well on the MC’s but I always feel like I do right after watching a lesson. I have kept a list of items I felt like I should go back over. I am wondering if I should just work on MC’s from the test bank until I cant stand it and just forget trying to focus on any topics. I wanted to re-write my NINJA notes but I dont know if that will let me have enough time to do MC’s too?? HELP! What should I do my last week!?!?!?!

During my final week of my FAR exam, I hammered away at MCQs and a few TBSs. Another thing I did was google recently released AICPA questions to get familiar with recent exam questions. I think I used Beckers PDF when I did this. Best of luck.

…I heard pregnant women needed to take frequent breaks during the exam. I hope that's not the case with you

I forgot to look at the recently released questions! I found those to be helpful last time!

Yes, I am contemplating depends! Not really, but I am a tad worried about all the bathroom breaks I might need…

I previously posted this but I think my advice is relevant again. .. in your last week of study, ask for forgiveness, vow to be a better person, eat a good breakfast and pray you don't get too many questions about journal entries for the corridor approach to pension accounting. Also, I wouldn't study too much the day b4 ur exam as this may mess with ur short term memory.

Heh, another thing you can pray for is for some recycled exam questions!!! I think this saved my life in FAR as I only got a 79. =)

Yes, I am just hoping I get some of the same topics, because honestly my test (MCQ) were not that bad. My problem when I failed was time. I NEVER run out of time on standardized test but I got to the SIMS and probably had enough time but panicked. Instead of just going one by one I started jumping around trying to get something into all of the blanks, and in hindsight I should have just focused on what I knew and calmed down! This time I know not to panic!

@floacct I wish I can check my account… so I can give you an exact answer, but my subscription expired last month. If I remember correctly, I think it was somewhere between the high 70s… to low 80s.

@LauraM. The FAR exam is obviously difficult. During my exam I did panic, but I told myself two things:

    1) There's plenty of time to complain, cry, and be all depressed when the exam is over… until then I need to suck it up and push through until that timer hits “0”

    2) Proper analysis requires calm. The more you panic, the more likely you are to fail.

Remember, if you study… you will pass.
