I am doing various things in my last week before the exam, including making my own flashcards, doing MCQ, and going over Ninja Notes and Ninja Audio. Based on the average trending score %, there are 2 categories that are constantly low. I am just wondering, am I doing something wrong? Should I change how I prepare?

For instance, my most recent Ninja MCQ adaptive session is 70%, but 2 categories actually went down instead of up, from 42 to 41 and 37 to 35. These are “Understanding the Entity and Its Environment (Including Internal Control)” and “Performing Audit Procedures and Evaluating Evidence.” How is this happening?

Not sure if this helps or not, but when I get stuck on a topic I actually rewrite my own notes… For instance I use Becker and BEC was giving me massive trouble. So I actually rewrote the topics from the book… It turned out that when I actually wrote it out I realized when I was studying I kept missing an important word that was making me do it wrong the entire time.

In your last week of studying, I would do a broad review of the topics you are good at and focus in on the topics you are not so good at.

I personally keep in excel spreadsheet of all my scores, so I can narrow down on my tough subjects.

Also in Audit there are two correct answers, but one is more correct than the other. You need to figure out why the other one is more correct.

I am taking my test on Tuesday and I did realize that as I have been working questions in Ninja MCQ if I do badly on a section it does lower the overall score for that section on the trending scores. I have also been having trouble with the audit evidence section so today I spent most of the day working through all the questions under that section. And now I just went through the list of simulations and trying to target the ones that cover that area. Evidence was an area I was weak in the last time I took audit. I knew that going into the exam and my score report reflected it. My plan tomorrow is to spend the day going through the adaptive phase so the software feeds me the areas I am weak in. At this point all I can do is work as many questions as I can. My exam is at 1pm and I plan on rewriting the Ninja notes for evidence and reporting before I head to my exam.

I would say if you know the areas you are weak then target those but also make sure not to neglect the other areas.

    AUD - NINJA in Training
    BEC - NINJA in Training
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - NINJA in Training
    AUD - 1/6/18
    FAR - TBD
    REG - TBD
    BEC - TBD

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016
    BEC - 8/20/2016
    REG - TBD
    FAR - TBD

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.

All right, I have been getting the hang of this, I feel confident in all categories except Auditing and Attestation: Performing Audit Proc… where my average trending score is still very bad at 44%. Guess I'll focus on more MCQ just on this topic.

You've got this Determined! I'm taking REG tomorrow and I feel much better this time than I did for my first take in Q3. Good luck to both of us!!!
