    I really thought I did better this time, this stings. I just have two questions. When should I schedule my retake? And secondly, how should I go about my third AUD attempt? I am currently thinking of scheduling it at 1/17/15 but I’m not sure if that will give me enough time. For the most recent try, here is what I did. I spend the first two weeks reading the CPAexcel textbook, and then I wrote the Ninja Notes, and then I did nonstop Ninja MCQ.

    I failed Audit too… Got 68 in my 3rd attempt. Just used Becker and their flash cards. Any advice on how to prepare for next attempt? Also what materials I should use?

    Wow! I thought I nailed AUD but I truly failed big time. Not sure if I can still keep going with all this failure after failure.

    I'm almost done guessing on my score I seem to be far off usually. Audit is by far the weirdest and most difficult exam I have taken yet. Remember that it has the lowest pass rate. That is because it is hard. And they ask very detailed questions. If I had to retake I would make many more flash cards on the details. Different audit reports and review, compilation, etc. Also many of the particular ethics and governmental standards. But these areas probably vary per person. Just make more flash cards on details as there are many details on the exam.

    In my opinion, Audit exam requires continuously reading the book and using the flash cards. Passing this exam requires knowing the material very well. Special attention should be given to chapter 3 and 4 in Becker because they require understanding the audit process and the transaction cycle. Being able to do JE's is a must for the simulation, that is why taking FAR before AUD is always recommended.

    I used Becker and supplemented with Wiley test bank, but when I took the exam, I did not feel that Wiley was needed.

    You can do this. Just do your best.

    Far 83 (Jan 2014)
    Reg 90 (May 2014)
    Bec 84 (Aug 2014)
    Aud 99 (Nov 2014)
    Ethics 96

    Hello everyone,

    Might be a silly question, but need help with a game plan.

    Am scheduled to take my audit exam (attempt 2) on February 6, 2015. I will be purchasing NINJA MCQ's, and Sims package in couple of days… I have worked with Becker before (got 68) – so for this upcoming attempt – I have read the textbook by Becker, and solved MCQ's, and Sims once (used Becker).

    My question is:

    Beginning from January 3 to February 5 is it sufficient time to go over all the MCQ's and Sims from NINJA package? If so, what should I keep the target of solving XX number of MCQ's per day? Also, am unemployed now. I think I can go over once all the MCQ's and Sims. But I also want to set a realistic goal. Also, do you think I can review this twice before my exam?

    Any help/suggestions greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance for your time and help!

    I've used both Becker and NINJA flashcards and while they were both great tools, I needed to write out my own flashcards.

    If I had a problem or a concept I didn't understand, I made a flashcard. I had tons of them that I carried in a giant ziploc baggie. At the end of the week I would go through the cards. If I didn't know a card I'd re-write on a legal pad and put it on the side of the stack to increase practicing. Eventually the cards that I couldn't remember would get smaller and smaller. Then by the time the exam rolled around about 2 weeks before I'd start going through all the cards again. If missed one I'd write out until they all were familiar.

    The biggest thing for me was I needed it to be in my own words. The NINJA flashcards (notes and blitz) are pretty straight forward, but if I just rewrote anything I didn't understand in my own words it helped me a lot. The first time I took audit I got a 65, second time 92.

    Elle, the more I study for Audit, the more I realize that you have given the best advice to study for Audit. For some reason, its harder to memorize flash cards for Audit that it was for FAR.

    FAR= 72-84
    Audit= 73-82
    BEC= 74-75
    Reg=77
