I just received an offer from KPMG. I am confused about the medical plan premium. The schedule shows the rate is $83 per employee but is it per month or per pay period? I asked the HR and she is not sure about it. I mean, it is a lot of money if it is $83 per pay period. Anyone working for KPMG can help me?

    Thanks

KPMG does OU's tax return, so I emailed our tax accountant and asked her. I'll let you know what she says.

Typically those rates are per paycheck…but we'll see what you find out. I worked for KPMG (just recently left) and that's not too far from what I was paying per paycheck…..

My company was acquired by a large corp a couple months back (suprise to everyone). I was getting alllllll free benefits and now am uninsured temporarily because I can't afford the decrease in paycheck from the changing pay schedule and paying out insurance on top of that which is $75/pay check and has a giant $3000 deductible or something before anything is even covered. WHAT HAPPENED TO COPAYS?????? The worst

    AUD: 84
    REG: 84
    BEC: 79
    FAR: 83

That's every two weeks, per pay period. Although did you flip through the whole brochure? There's like 6 different plans you can choose from. I pay $41 every two weeks.

Yeah I figured out. The $83 ones are fancy plans.

I'm really surprised the HR person wouldn't know that. But I work at a smaller company with less choice in plans.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I didn't hear back from her. But, if it makes you feel any better, OU's family plan is $731/month. That's the employee portion.

I think most people go with the one below that. Around 40 some odd dollars each pay check.

    Bec-76 (7/14)
    Aud-81 (8/14)
    Reg-82 (7/15)
    Far- 82 (10/15)

Moral of the story, don't do your CPA while working in Big 4 Public Accounting.
