    Hey all,

Here’s my story: I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Accounting at CUNY Queens College, NYC a little over a year ago (3.5 GPA) and began working at a wholesale insurance agency immediately after graduation. I’m a Staff Accountant and mostly do Accounts Playable with some help in Taxes and Auditing. I took the job because I was eager to start working full time and wasn’t totally sure if I wanted to pursue a career in Public Accounting. Eventually I decided it was the career I wanted to pursue and began studying for my CPA exams as well as taking a couple of classes to complete the 150 hour requirement. At this point I have 2 CPA exams passed and feel my overall credentials prove to be worthy of an entry-level audit position. I would love to work for the Big 4 because I really do want the experience that would push me to the max and help me learn as much as I can in this industry. At the very least I obviously would like to land a job at a mid-size firm. I’ve been finding great difficulty in getting an interview. I had one at PwC (employee referral) and made it to the office round but didn’t succeed as that was before I passed the 2 CPA exams. What should I do to get myself the opportunities I’m looking for?
