I have taken audit 3 times. My scores have been 59, 64, and 72. My study plan has been with Becker and I start off listening to the lecture. I do all the multiple choice and sims at least twice. I read Ninja notes and rewrite it once. I then go back to the marked questions and topics in the book I didn’t understand well and review it. Then I do all the multiple choice and sims in Wiley test bank. I also read the questions very carefully because I know how tricky it can be.

This is my last section and one of my exams is going to expire in May. I have one last chance but I don’t know what else to do. I was so sure I would pass this last time but I clearly did not. I need help from those people who passed and have any tips.

Make sure you understand the assertions and what kind of testing can be used for them– which direction completeness goes vs. occurrence, etc. Look for some flowcharts online if your materials don't have them.

Get really clear on reporting for audit vs. review vs. compilation vs. AUP. Know issuer vs. nonissuer. Memorize those reports if you can. You can draw from that info a lot to figure out the answers.

Spend time on the rules for independence, etc.

Review FAR materials, as the journal entries can be very helpful for AUD.

Rewrite notes a second time, at least. Do you have Ninja Audio and flashcards? They might help, too. You can listen to audio in the car.

Study like you haven't taken the test at all yet, rather than studying like you just need 3 more points.

    You can do this!

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

Thanks for the feedback I will definitely try all of those recommendations.

Would you happen to know where I can get more practice on Audit Risk, Control Risk, Inherent Risk, Detection Risk? I understand the concept and how they affect each other I would just like to see some problem examples. My Becker book and software has minimal questions on this and I have tried to search online I just end up finding minimal information about it.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing. It's really quite a good deal compared to a lot of the other study materials available.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
