I know these questions were asked in the past. However, I wanted some updated answers from reliable sources (you) before I make a huge purchase.

1. Is Becker “Final Review” worth the extra cost?

2. Are Becker “Flashcards” worth the extra cost?

3. Are the very overpriced “Supplemental MCQ’s” worth the extra cost?

4. Where can I get the best Discount for Becker products? Via the Internet?

I plan to purchase Becker and supplement with Ninja MCQ’s. I am currently not working for at least 6-8 months and plan to make studying for the Exam my full time job. I have the money to purchase these products and just want to get this Exam out of the way by taking the safest route. However, I don’t want to waste money on “upsells” because I am still on a budget.

Everyone is different, but I am a huge proponent of the Becker flash cards. Believe it or not I'd say they were the most important part of my FAR and AUD preparation.

I have the flash cards and don't use them at all. The Audit ones are still in the wrapper and I am finished with that exam. I did open the FAR ones and got half way through and decided my time was better spent with other study methods.

The Final Review has been great for me. I use the final review book almost like I use my own notes, just a way to read over the high points in less than half the time the book takes.

Thanks for all the feedback friends. I will probably just purchase the Final Review and nothing else. The flashcards seem to be just an “upsell.” It's kinda fishy that PatriotCPA made an account on A71 a few hours after I asked this question. Also, PatriotCPA has never posted about anything else…

Any other Legitimate Suggestions from seasoned A71 peers?

I bought everything from Becker all at once and I was sorry I did that. I didn't use the flashcards or the final review and 3 out of 4 sections expired on me and I had to buy it again. I didn't read the fine print, so I missed the cheaper re-do option, but I did get a 50% discount when I bought FAR, BEC, and REG again.

For the record, I don't work for Becker. I just wanted to add that I found the flash cards useful. They seem to get a bad rap around here, often from people who admittedly didn't use them. A lot of people seem to get through just fine without them though, and everyone's different. Best of luck with your studies.
