Hi everyone, I need some advice regarding a Big 4 offer. Here is a little background.

I went through recruiting over the summer and applied to a firm I was not familiar with. I went through a few rounds of interviews and decided to accept the offer. Seems like a great firm, but in a very expensive area. Before this, I did not get the Deloitte offer I was expecting and was feeling pretty bad about that. Recently I received another offer with one of the other Big 4 firms and would really like to take it. I feel horribly guilty about turning down my first accepted offer but feel like the new offer better fits my interests.

Does anyone have advice about going about this? I really want to be honest about my decision and really respect the people at the first firm. I know this is going to require a phone call since I am not local. The offer I signed stated that either party could go back on the offer at any time for any reason.

In the the end it's what's best for you. If you think you'll be happier at big 4, take it.

If you want the second offer then take it and rescind your acceptance of the first. It's business and they'll find someone else. Yes loyalty is great, but you don't owe them anything.
