I just found out that I passed BEC which was my last section. Thank you NINJA MCQ a lot , I would not be able to pass 2 parts in one month. Also, thank you people in the forum for all of your posting. I am wondering what do I need to do next to apply for my license (New Mexico). I think I need to take the ethic test but want sure if it going to be my next step. Also, if I have the AICPA’s Comprehensive Course book do I need to purchase anything to take the test. I appreciate all for your help.

You can take the ethics exam online through the AICPA website. It is pretty easy but can be frustrating. You need a 90 to pass. When you are done you will wait for your application for your license. You are almost there. Congrats!

In addition to needing the ethics exam. You need a 2″x2″ passport picture (available at walgreens for about $14.00) You also need to get fingerprinted cost is $44.00 and you need to pay $175.00 with your application. The links were helpful, thanks @HCPA for those.

If I plan to take my first exam in May 2016 when should I send my examination application? I am thinking of starting with FAR first. How much time should I study for each exams? Besides Ninja notes/mcq/audio what other material would be good? Any suggestions/tips will be appreciated!!!

You could switch lives with me. That's always an option.

Oh and @kanwal78, some things for you to consider. the NTS is only good for 6 months, and starts from when you receive it. So if you're looking to sit for an exam in May, I PERSONALLY would apply about month to month and a half before the date you want to sit. It took me about a week from application to get my NTS. This will allow you to schedule and get a test date you want. Also, since you mention you want to sit in May, I'm assuming that you will be graduating then? If so, in order to apply before you have met the eligibility requirements, (depending on your state) you should be able to apply 90 days before meeting the education requirements. You just need to print off a certificate of enrollment and have your school registrar sign it/send it.

@ Biff thanks for the info. I have already met my education requirements for Virginia. I just need to send the application with my transcript to VA BOA. I am thinking of sending it in early February since I am aiming to sit for FAR in May.

This is a good thread for us New Mexico candidates.

Looks like my finger printing process will be a pain once I finish since I am out of state…

For people that have taken the ethics exam, is it pretty straight forward and obvious or is it like the CPA exam?
