NINJA Question –

Quick question about Ninja MCQ. Does anyone else feel like they’re seeing repeat questions a bunch?

I just did a 30 question set and there were 5 or 6 questions that I remember seeing before, some earlier today. I’m not complaining, more intrigued. I’m curious if that is part of the adaptive learning software.

I will say that seeing the quesitons the 2nd or 3rd time made a light bulb go off and me say to myself “I know the answer is ABC because of principle XYZ.” but I fear that if I continue to see them repeatedly, I’ll remember the answer and not the concepts.

You are going to see repeat questions, regardless of which review course you use. I suggest you focus on why the other three options are wrong. That will help you remember the concept and not just that question. Good Luck!

I just started WTB after completing Becker and notice the same thing. I'm assuming they all receive the same set of released questions, so it's bound to happen. Like @kricket said, focus on why the other 3 are wrong or skip them.

Jeff–I've taken 5 or 6 quizzes in the adaptive learning phase and I get quite a few questions that are repeat that I know I have gotten right every time. I remember you saying in another thread (I can't find it) that is not normal and one of your guys would look into their account. Can you have them look at mine please?

I just finished another quiz with more repeat questions. I pulled all the question numbers and scores into Excel just to see if I was remember incorrectly and these 7 questions were repeated and I got them right both times: 1381, 1150, 615, 374, 69, 32, 30. Only one question that I got wrong was repeated. These were all in the adaptive learning phase. I know 7 isn't a lot, but I just want to make sure my adaptive learning is really working or I'll go back to creating my own custom quizzes on “missed last time seen”. let me know what you think. Thanks.

Mamabear. Same thing happened to me-the ones I get right show up again. So I only do “new questions only” I feel like it negatively affects my average/trending score though.

Hi Jeff is there anyway you can fix the repeating of some questions that I keep getting over and over again? I choose the correct answer every single time so it's not an incorrect factor on my end. Just wondering. I'd rather work new questions to increase my overall progress. Thanks

Choose Custom + SIMS from the dashboard on the left hand side.

Then you will see the screen with multiple drop downn boxes (number of questions, categories, etc)

From “questions to select from” dropdown – choose new questions only

I was getting the same thing while studying for REG, so I just did all new questions until I ran out of those, then I switched to missed last time seen. Once I finished those & hit the review phase, I went back to letting the system choose.

Anyone see repeated questions even after choosing “new questions”? New questions is all I do and I am sure I’ve seen question twice some even three time. I also get them right. Is this a bug should i say something? Really depending on ninja for my retake. Help.

yes i've noticed a couple repeat questions even after choosing “new questions”

I don't know that this is the case, but it could be that the population of your session is more than the population of the question categories you're selecting. Posting in the dojo is always the quickest way to get feedback from other ninjas.
