Hi everyone, kind of a noob question but here it goes. For the California Board of Accountancy, do you have to submit a remittance form + $25 reapplication fee for every section of the CPA you’re going to take? If that’s the case, the average processing time for approval is about 30 days according to their website unless I read wrong. In additional to the time it takes for NTS, that’s almost 4-5 weeks out. 0_o Does that sound right? Thank you!

For those that have the same question in mind, I have a response from the CA board of acct. Please see below for details

You have the option to select up to all 4 exam sections per application submitted (ie. Remittance Form). ($25 fee for re-apps, $50 for first timers)

You also have the option to select one section at a time per remittance form, but you have to submit the form and pay the $25 each time.

Please note:

Each remittance form gives you 9 months to take exams you applied for. So if you select all 4 sections, remember you have 9 months before your app expires.

Also, exam fees are due along with the sections you apply for. Meaning, if you select all 4 sections in one app, be prepared to pay for all 4 exams. I know to some it's not a big deal, but for people that are new grads, or still in school, this could be a big chunk of money. $729.08 to be exact. (Fees paid to NASBA: AUD $192.03 / FAR $192.03 / REG $172.51 / BEC $172.51)
